POSITION SUMMARY :
The Warehouse Distribution Specialist will be a key role in the logistics execution team. They will partner with the leadership team to drive distribution operations and interface with customer care focusing on our OEMs. They will be responsible for general shipping duties and preparing daily shipping documents. This person will display good organizational and time management skills. They will also display the ability to work closely with others to build a strong united team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
Generate deliveries and plan the weekly shipping schedule.
Work with planning team to allocate and un-allocate material as required to fill orders and improve efficiencies.
Monitor daily shipping activities to ensure OTD expectation for OEMs.
Select and contact freight carriers for outbound shipments.
Work with planning and inventory control to plan the shipments and provide shipping reports to customer care.
Perform data entry and other tasks in customer portal as needed (ASNs, ePIL, Otis JDE labeling, etc).
Assists with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory control activities.
Communicates issues, priorities, lead times, etc. to other departments, contributing to the overall team effort supporting distribution service level.
Maintains shipping and receiving supplies by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
Performs other duties assigned by Manager or Supervisor in support of departmental goals.

This job is designed to encompass a range of concurrent and relatively equal responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer literate with strong background in Microsoft Office and Excel
Must be detail orientated.
Must be able to meet firm deadlines.
Experience in warehousing and distribution environment with strong WMS knowledge (SAP Experience preferred)
Must possess good organizational and time management skills.
Two to Five years' experience required.
