　　Distinguished Engineer, Card Core Data Architecture

　　Responsibilities:

　　- Lead and develop sustainable data driven solutions with current new gen data technologies to meet the needs of our organization and business customers

　　- Build and run forums to train resources across the enterprise

　　- Champion rollout of industry frameworks across the company (e.g. continuous integration)

　　- Contribute to strategic roadmap for a technical domain

　　- Handle highly ambiguous situations - e.g. severe operational breakdown of a mission critical platform, structuring sequencing projects with impacts across multiple platforms

　　- Proactively sponsor process and technology improvements

　　- Problem resolution, e.g. manages severe operational breakdown of a mission critical platform

　　- Provide technical guidance to team members

　　- Sought after by technical resources as the subject matter expert for a technical domain

　　- Develop frameworks that are used by multiple teams and applications

　　- Participate in external speaking engagements

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　- Bachelor's Degree

　　- At least 7 years of experience in software or data engineering

　　- At least 7 years of experience in data management, data warehousing, or in unstructured data environments

　　- At least 3 years experience with one or more of the following technologies: Cassandra, Accumulo, Spark, Hadoop, Apache Avro, MongoDB, or Zookeeper

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　- Master's Degree

　　- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices

　　- 7+ years experience with the Hadoop stack (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Hbase)

　　- 7+ years experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra)

　　- 7+ years experience developing Java-based software solutions

　　- 7+ years experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell)

　　- 7+ years experience with Relational Databases

　　- 7+ years experience designing, developing, and implementing ETL

　　- 7+ years experience with UNIX/Linux

　　- 7+ years of experience leading the full life-cycle of IT development and platform support

　　The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

　　New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $269,400 - $307,500 for Distinguished Data Engineer

　　Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

　　This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
