Summary:
As a Display Systems Engineering at Meta your role is to lead the display system development process, create system level simulation models and perform systeml simulations as well as tolerancing to design the display system. In addition, you provide support to system integration, simulations and metrology as well as product requirements. The role requires understanding of a wide range of hardware modules and related graphics pipeline.
Required Skills:
Display Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
Cross-functional engagement with internal and external partners to develop concepts and prototypes into realizable product hardware designs.
Create module and system simulations models containing sequential and nonsequential models, straylight simulation and physical optics.
Define sub-system requirements with the product team, then deliver AR/VR hardware, software, and calibration that meets specifications. This may include: hardware (optics, electronics, mechanics, silicon, sensor, data-communication), software (computer vision algorithms, calibration, modeling, analysis), and performance analysis.
Drive optical system requirements definitions. Flow down optical system requirements to sub-system and component level. Resolve requirements discrepancies at different levels.
Drive design verification, testing, and troubleshooting process to correlate with optical modeling and metrology, and between sub-system performance and system performance.
Collaborate with the display calibration, integration, verification and validation teams.
10% Domestic and or International travel.
