Here's what you can expect as the Director, Value Based Care, StrategicPayor Account Management at DaVita.
The Director of Strategic Payor Account Management will join the IntegratedKidney Care (IKC) team - taking ownership for value-based care contractimplementation, ongoing partner strategy and relationship management,partner collaboration pilots, and overall performance tracking to ensureprogram success. IKC is rapidly growing and a core part of this role will bestandardizing customer success management processes, developing streamlinedimplementation plans, and leveraging new technology to ensure alignment in amatrixed organization while we work to scale sustainably. This role is highlycross-functional and will partner across many lanes. It will also be a highlyvisible role, working closely with executive leadership within DaVita andwith our payor partners.Essential duties and responsibilities:The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of thisposition but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Support setting strategic direction for Commercial IKC Account Managementfunction
Support our Payor Partnerships team in business development, including pitchmeetings and existing account expansion efforts
Serve as account lead for large and strategic accounts and deliver serviceexcellence
Mature our account planning and relationship management processes
Drive the development and presentation of business updates with payor partners
Track and manage to contract terms inclusive of performance targets andprocess measures
Oversee and optimize the process of launching and managing new programs,beginning from contract sign date through program implementation and term
Partner with operational, clinical, actuarial, finance, and IT teamsto proactively and reactively respond to partner priorities
Develop and retain a strong team of individuals who are relationship andprocess-minded but also understand the operational, clinical, andfinancial aspects of IKC
Foster the DaVita Way by encouraging teammate contribution, respect, andsupport of all types of individuals.
15-25% travel if/when travel is approved (given COVID policies)Qualifications
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within client servicesfunction, such as consulting, business development, customer success,and/or account management fields; track record of strong operationalexecution and business results
Bachelor's degree required; MBA / Masters in related field a plus
Experience in healthcare preferred. Understanding of value-based care and/orshared risk partnerships a plus.
Strong executive communication skills, both presenting and materialdevelopment
Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves to meet the needs oftheir clients
Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility as a thought partnerinternally and externally
