ROLE SUMMARY
The Director, Vaccine Pricing and Contracting will work across the vaccine portfolio to implement vaccine pricing and contracting strategies across channels including CDC/VFC, IDNs, Physician Buying Groups (PBGs), GPOs, Payers, Retail and Long-Term Care for the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit. The Director, Vaccine Pricing and Contracting will collaborate with the brand teams to assess and monitor the effectiveness of various channel and customer type strategies and collaborate with field teams to implement the strategy and solicit feedback to optimize tactics. The role requires strong business acumen, deep knowledge of drug pricing and contracting, solid understanding of vaccine and/or buy and bill drugs and strong leadership and collaboration skills.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Function as the subject matter authority on vaccine pricing and contracting on behalf of the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit; share pricing and contracting knowledge and insights across teamsImplement overall public and private pricing and contracting strategy across products, channels and customers to drive the growth of the vaccines businessManage the cross functional price change implementation process to include the development and execution of communication plansCollaborate with the vaccine brand teams and access marketers to support contracting pull-through initiativesCollaborate with field teams to implement the pricing and contracting strategy; solicit and act on feedback to optimize pricing and contracting strategy and tacticsDevelop / enhance contract management tools including contract Dashboards and Membership PortalMonitor and seek to continuously improve the operational effectiveness of the overall vaccine contracting process in close collaboration with the PCA teamServe on the Contracting Governance Team; facilitate the collection of account information to support decision makingServe as the Vaccines BU lead and point for pricing and contracting issue resolution across Vaccines, PCA, Legal, Trade and BT
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience required, or Master's degree and 9+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 7+ years of experience required.Pharmaceutical pricing and contracting experienceExperience in leading vaccine-specific pricing and contracting functions to include working with Group Purchasing Organizations, Physician Buying Groups, Retail Chains, Integrated Delivery Networks in a competitive marketplaceDemonstrated track record of strong business acumen, strategic thinking and project management skillsProven track record of success with working effectively in a team-based environment, balancing diverse cross -functional perspectives, strong problem solving, leadership, and collaboration skillsHigh level change agility, flexibility and comfort with addressing and adapting to ambiguityExcellent commercial, financial and analytical skills

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
