  Warner Bros. Discovery Enterprise Business Resilience Team

  The Warner Bros. Discovery Enterprise Risk & Resilience department helps the organization prepare for the unthinkable, which can aid in the long-term survivability of the company after a crisis. Aside from working to ensure continuity of operations, including ensuring recoverability of critical systems and technologies, the department helps to give people the tools to be better prepared for disruptions at work during a crisis and to encourage them to extend those preparedness skills to situations outside of work.

  Your role…

  The Director, Technology Resilience will manage the implementation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Program for the company, with a focus on business-critical Broadcast Operations and Infrastructure. The successful applicant will assess the current state of technology capabilities & resiliency risks and develop mitigation strategies and technical infrastructure to address gaps. The person will also work closely with Technology & Broadcast counterparts to support a robust program for testing of technology recovery solutions as well as managing complex projects that involve input from multi-disciplinary teams made up of both internal and external resources.

  The ideal candidate will have strong, professional customer service skills, as well as the ability to create, organise and maintain documentation related to the business continuity initiative, specifically in the area of broadcast technology and operations and disaster recovery.

  Although this is not a shift based position, you may be expected to work outside of business hours from time to time, and travel internationally.

  Job Responsibilities

  Drive the strategy and innovate solutions used for technology, broadcast recovery across the organization, work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including consultants and vendors to align disaster recovery strategies and associated plans with business needs.

  Drive engagement with technology stakeholders to ensure adherence to company standards and expectations for technology resilience, including development of business cases to justify funding of technology resilience projects

  Manage resources and set planning priorities for employees dedicated to work efforts for the area of responsibility, leading reviews, driving testing and maintenance of existing solutions and plans

  At the time of disaster:

  Drive company response to critical situations that involve activation of a technology resilience or disaster recovery plan

  Leverage relationships and knowledge of business operations to support technology teams interacting with the crisis management process

  Facilitate post incident review to ensure lessons learned are applied across the portfolio

  Experience

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Broadcast Technology or Information Technology field

  Broadcast/Media background or knowledge is required.

  Experience in Broadcast/Media technology with a thorough understanding of: Satellite transmission process, Fiber transmission process, Master Control Operations, Post Production process, Compression, Live Events

  Some experience in Business Continuity or IT Disaster Recovery industry is preferred.

  Must have experience presenting to senior management

  AWS Cloud certified practitioner

  ABCP, CBCP or similar business continuity certification

  PMP or equivalent project management certification

  Knowledge/Skills

  Knowledge of Agile development process a plus

  Six Sigma or equivalent analytical discipline preferred

  Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  Knowledge of Fusion Risk Management software, used to create BC & IT DR plans, is advantageous

  Other Requirements

  Understanding of technical documentation including network diagrams and system infrastructure diagrams

  Ability to present complex ideas or situations in a clear, simple and understandable manner to non-technical audiences

  Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  Collaboration and effective communication skills, enabling effective, efficient work with colleagues ion remote locations

  Strong organizational and project management skills

  Ability to work under pressure

  Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes

  Customer service-oriented

  Able to work independently

  Able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned

  Maintain confidentiality
