JOB SUMMARY
Leads and manages technology projects and deployment team that services for managed, franchised and above property locations in the US and Canada. Engages with diverse stakeholders to guarantee the alignment of organizational needs in the implementation of initiatives, fostering support for the objectives of the IT organization within the US & CAN Continent. Models aspects of a project planning framework to ensure the functionality, deployment and support needs are well documented, communicated and met through high-profile initiatives. Accountable for services being created and delivered in accordance with service level agreements, department’s internal criteria and with high customer satisfaction. Manages vendor responsibilities when applicable.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
8+ years’ progressive technology related and/or business leadership/consulting experience.
2+ years’ project management experience of complex and cross-functional initiatives.
2+ years’ experience in IT annual business planning and execution.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Prior experience with management of others.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
Project Management Certification (PMP).
Proven experience with building relationships and consensus across a matrix and diverse work environment to include a broad group of stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrates ability to influence others without authority and building sponsorship for key initiatives/programs with senior leaders.
Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to develop, present and get buy in with strategic plans from variety of stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills for planning, estimating, budgeting and monitoring project work
Experience with tracking and analytics tools such as Smartsheet and PowerBI.
Strong experience/understanding in Lodging or Hospitality operations.
Collaborator, Strategic thinker, creative leader and adaptable to a fast pace changing environment.
Ability to quickly gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of Lodging and Brand strategies, priorities and initiatives and represent them to various constituencies across the organization.

Ability to manage internal/external and direct/matrixed resources that are remotely located
Experience with Marriott’s technology operational systems (e.g. PMS, Networking etc.) that enable the business.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Collaborates with senior leadership to define and prioritize deployments of technology initiatives aligned with US & Canada Continent IT organization’s goals and roadmap.
Works closely with key stakeholders, including IT, operations, finance, communications, security, and other relevant departments, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
Supports, aligns and partners with project, implementation, and portfolio management teams to support successful execution and tracking of US & Can technology deployments.
Represents the stakeholders’ technical and operational interests in the development and design, functionality, deployment, tracking, compliance and support of initiatives
Monitors project progress and addresses issues promptly to keep projects on track.
Manages contracts, allocates resources effectively, and optimizes project delivery efficiency ensuring financial recovery.
Collaborates with HR for team development, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
Identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Fosters collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Establish and maintain project management processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Communicates and leads change management efforts for stakeholders in support of technology initiatives
Works with the Implementation team to establish and enforce processes to ensure the delivery of projects on time and on budget with a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.
Implement testing methodologies and conduct post-implementation reviews.
Reviews and improves implementation methods to reduce project costs and increase effectiveness without jeopardizing objectives
Collaborates with designated business, brand and operations representatives to ensure systems are evaluated, and operations are ready to receive new technology and upgrades.
Validates team is prepared and well-trained on future deployment needs
Manages relationship with vendors supporting PSS led projects as needed
Leverages vendors and consultants to obtain resourcing for implementation of technology initiatives and negotiates contracts and funding.
Drives and validates compliance with vendor management policies/contracts (e.g. local systems, property-based tech).

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $222,943.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $133,766.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
