POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Technical Program Management is a senior leadership role within Product Development and Operations. You will work with stakeholders and teammates to prioritize, scope, resource, and manage internal and cross-functional Security-related projects and programs to improve internal efficiencies.
You will be the main liaison between the Guidewire Product Development Organization and the Cyber Security organization, facilitating a close working relationship and cooperation, overcoming occasional natural differences in their strategic objectives.
In this role, you will get alignment between the Product Development, the Cloud Operations and the Information Security organizations on specific strategic plans and objectives to ensure continuous improvement in Guidewire's Security posture.
RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the agreement on the Security objectives, and set the implementation plans to ensure while ensuring operational effectiveness of the Product Development and Cloud Operations teams taking into account capacity and overall business prioritiesManage the teams in reaching the Security goals and work with the teams to overcome the challenges.Track and provide Executive reporting on the status of the Product Security initiatives and goals. Take the lead in working with the affected cross functional organizations in the resolution of complex security vulnerabilities (Engineering, Security, IT. Legal, Communications, Customer Support, Professional Services). Establish emergency response teams to remediate complex high security vulnerabilities that require "all-hands on deck" response to eliminate the threat within industry SLA: implement compensating controls, and deliver permanent fixes to customers.Provide required communication to Guidewire Sr Management team, and customers on status of vulnerability, plan for resolution, and if there is evidence of exploitation.Partner with the Security, Product Development and Cloud Operations teams to proactively identify areas of improvements for Guidewire's Security posture. Establish the plans to implement the identified additional security controls and manage them to completion.You will also contribute to the maturity and effectiveness of the Program Management Organization.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus 10+ years of experience in Program Management of Software development or IT infrastructure managementProfessional Program/Project Management certifications a plusStrong understanding of security risk and how to mitigate themExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCrisis and escalation management experience
