The Data Cloud specialist team is an innovative group of architects and specialists at the heart of Salesforce's newest innovation - Customer Data Cloud. They are a startup within a massive organization focused on next-generation of technology at Salesforce. This talented team helps Salesforce customers and prospects develop and implement strategies to take their Customer Experience efforts to a new level with Data + AI + CRM + Analytics. This team is at the center of our GTM strategy connecting the dots between Data Cloud Product team, Product Marketing, Enablement, Customer Success & Support, and Partners Ecosystem to drive growth for Data Cloud. Role Overview:
As the Director, Technical Architects - Data Cloud, you will be responsible for leading and empowering a team of highly skilled Data Cloud Technical Architects and partnering with Data Cloud sales specialists. This role reports into the Senior Director, Data Cloud GTM and will lead the technical sales motion, unlocking customer success on Data Cloud across various industry verticals. Here is a glimpse of your responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Data Cloud Technical Architects.Align team objectives with the product strategies and organizational goals set by the Senior Director and SVP, Chief Growth Officer of Data CloudFoster strong collaborations with stakeholders, including Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Product Marketing, and Product Management.Leverage your technical expertise to provide subject matter support during the sales process.Develop repeatable GTM motions, inclusive of enablement content, technical documentation, demo environments, and best practices.Work closely with the Partner Ecosystem to develop offerings, use cases, and GTM strategies.Play a crucial role in shaping the Product Roadmap by sharing customer feedback and innovative ideas.Maintain a deep understanding of Data, Cloud Data Warehouses, Analytics & BI, CRM, and AI.Effectively communicate our offerings to potential clients.Stay informed about technology trends and their implications for our clients' businesses.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, preferably in B2B SaaS sales.Strong verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to clients and prospective clients at all organizational levels.Proficiency in Data, Marketing, Advertising, and Customer Relationship Management concepts.Proven experience with data management, business intelligence analytics, data science, and marketing.Familiarity with technology trends impacting clients' businesses.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, or equivalent work experience.Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce CRM technology (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Industry Clouds).Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Python, SQL, or Salesforce App Development.Broad experience in large-scale database and data warehousing technology, ETL processes, analytics, cloud technologies, Data Engineering, Data Science.Hands-on experience in AI/ML solutions like Sagemaker, Vertex, Databricks, Snowflake, with a strong understanding of Generative AI.Proficiency in designing data solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Hands-on expertise with analytics tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.Proven ability to analyze complex business problems, generate innovative ideas, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $217,840 to $291,340.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
