  Your New Role

  The Director, Technical Accounting - Streaming will be responsible for the company's Direct to Consumer accounting assessments and policies, including production and distribution of content, direct-to-consumer and wholesale revenue distribution, DTC operations, and other related activities. This individual should be comfortable working directly with the company's senior management and the external auditors.

  Your Role Accountabilities

  Establish, develop, and document the company's global accounting policiesBe the accounting subject matter expert for specific accounting topics across WBDAssess, conclude on, and document accounting treatment for transactions as well as contracts review and assessmentAdvise, guide, and monitor peers as it relates to compliant accounting behaviorLead accounting and accounting-related projects (e.g., implementation of new accounting standards, business and M&A projects)Create presentations and present them to senior managementWork directly with the external auditors on accounting positions and external filingsCoordinate work activities with other company leaders around the worldOther duties and responsibilities as needed

  Qualifications & Experience

  BS/BA in a related discipline from an accredited institutionMinimum of 10 years of experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and IFRS requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role Mix of public accounting and public company experience CPA required Experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting of an SEC registrant Experience working directly with external auditors to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong executive presence Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet deadlines under pressure Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels Experience implementing best practices that require significant innovation for improving processes by applying an advanced understanding of complex functional/technical and business issues and challenges

  Ability to anticipate resource requirements and to make adjustments based on emerging issues and priorities
