Position Summary
The CAPEX Director of Strategic Initiatives is accountable for developing sourcing strategies aligned with cross functional business partners and in line with the strategic priorities of the company. This role is responsible fostering best practices in the execution of procurement project plans, establishing agreements that are in the best interest of CBI and steering the P2P processes for CAPEX projects to ensure they are executed on time and complete. CAPEX Strategic Initiatives comprise of projects to support advancement of the company's Strategic Growth Plan. This includes but is not limited to: Packaging Lines, Brewing, Wine Making, Operational Expansions and Logistical Investments.
Through CBI's ONEProcurement initiative, the CAPEX Director Strategic Initiatives TBA Procurement will assess the current capital commercialization strategy and identify solutions to optimize ways of working across the organization as it relates to capital purchases.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Procurement governance leader for all Major Projects; factory brownfield expansions and greenfield new sites.Lead/Own the development and execution of TBA Procurement strategies for Strategic CAPEX initiatives for critical Beer & Wine Construction & Engineering Services.Lead Major Projects Capital Procurement team with team members focused on Major Projects execution including TBA Water Treatment, Utilities Equipment strategies.Key Role Deliverable: Create and deliver a "Cost Avoidance vs Project Budget" initiative with cross functional counterparts to drive Capital Efficiency through improved Financial Control, Strategic Procurement and Project Management practices. Success of this initiative is heavily dependent on the individual's ability to influence across functions/functional leadership.Member, Beer Network Growth Portfolio Core TeamExecutive Presence: This role interacts frequently with functional Executive/Senior/Vice Presidents across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Beer/Wine/Spirits leadership. Strong candidates will have demonstrated successful experience presenting to, interacting with, and influencing senior leaders across all functions.Commodity Analysis: Provide critical market insights in Steel and Labor commodities, as well as Construction & Engineering Categories to cross-functional Procurement, Engineering and Operational teams to enable decision making and business direction.Positive Influence: A demonstrated ability to positively influence cross-functional peers, leadership, and suppliers to deliver KPI's is critical to this role.Supplier Relationship Management: Lead regular SRM with key Construction & Engineering suppliers having developed co-managed KPI's to deliver significant benefit to CBI; speed to market, innovation, sustainability, waste reduction, cost to own reduction, decreased acquisition costs, etc.Interface with Procurement and Engineering peers to identify category opportunities and develop strategies that maximize value across the CBI portfolio of products (Beer, Wine & Spirits)Lead the development of Negotiation Strategies with inputs and alignments of key business stakeholders.Lead key negotiations of business requirements and/or contractual agreements to ensure that they meet CBI's business needs, adhere to corporate standards, and financially deliver against our value commitments.Partner with Engineering & Operations to embed structure and discipline in the End-to-End CAPEX sourcing and co-create an asset redeployment process.Serve as an influential change agent to the broad stakeholder community as it relates to the sourcing and contract execution process.Accountable for delivering Procurement sourcing strategies and commercial management of suppliers across multiple Divisions.Proactively assess the current deployment of capital initiatives and optimize where possible.Review business cases for contracts to ensure alignment to strategy.Develop sourcing approach (RFP, targeted, strategic) and value levers.Ensure alignment of business unit category objectives and TBA category KPI's inclusive of NPD's, Cost Savings and Supplier Relationship ManagementOwn/Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for with incumbent and new suppliers in the Process Equipment space.Lead Issue Resolution between supply base and CBI Engineering & Operations teams.Lead efforts across Procurement Category Leaders to identify and execute leverage opportunities (i.e., between CAPEX and MRO Procurement shared suppliers)Lead efforts across Procurement and CBI functions (Legal, Engineering, Operations, etc) to streamline Source to Pay processes.Work in conjunction with the Procurement COE to ensure consistent reporting and KPI's are in place for accountable projectsBuilds overall supplier management plan and go to market strategy for Strategic CAPEX InitiativesSpend ranging upwards of $500-600 million USD annually.Manage 3+ direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business (or other related degree programs).Rich experience with Brown and Greenfield Construction projects with ownership of Construction & Engineering Project management efforts.10+ years sourcing and procurement management experience in Capital Procurement. Or 10+ years experience with Brown Field and Greenfield Project Management. (or combination of the two)Proven track record in delivery of complex, cross-functional procurement initiatives on time and on budget on a global footprint.Ability to influence a multi-national cross-functional team to deliver with excellenceSeasoned Engineering and/or procurement professional, knowledgeable in Capital Project Execution and/or Capital procurement best practicesExperience in MRP and Procurement systems SAP, Ariba and Tableau at a minimumStrong organizational skills, focused on details, and multi-task orientedChampions best practice processes, tools, and commitment to provide quality procurement products / customer serviceExcellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management with colleagues and key contacts throughout Constellation BrandsExpertise in providing high levels of service within a complex customer-service oriented organizationExcellent verbal and written communication and negotiating skills, is perceptive and adaptableMust be able to interface at all levels of the organization and with suppliers to solve problems when facing evolving demandsDemonstrated success in leveraging company-wide spend by ensuring the implementation of large/complex agreementsIn-depth knowledge and experience of procurement processes (category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and spend analysis), organization, technology requiredProficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), familiarity with Source-to-pay toolsExpertise with Capital sourcing strategy development, including in-depth knowledge of supplier management best practices, category terminology and contract negotiationStrong financial and analytical skills with a high degree of business acumenHighly self-motivated with a strong internal drive for resultsA high degree of problem-solving capability and the ability to drive change with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated negotiation skills with strong negotiation management experienceA good understanding of project management methodologies and e-procurement processes and toolsIn-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes, organization, technology

The salary range for this role is:
$124,200.00 - $198,400.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
