Job Description:
Reporting to the VP/GM St Louis, the Director of Supply Chain will lead all aspects of the supply chain management functions for the St Louis facility of which the scope includes GMP operations and process development (BPS). This role will be responsible for materials management, logistics, and supply planning. They will be leading the supply chain organization to increase capacity utilization through S&OP, implementing and owning supply chain systems (e.g. SAP) and business processes.

Establishes strategies to increase customer service levels across St Louis and BPS by ensuring supply of materials to support BPS and GMP operations.Through leadership within the Community of Practice, identifies improvements to current tools, processes or procedures to improve efficiency levels and productivity indicators and communicates among supply chain functions at each site.Partners with the Global Procurement to ensure materials and supplies are handled in an efficient and effective manner to control pricing, delivery dates, and maintain positive relationships with qualified vendors.Leads supply chain and logistics functions for St Lous and BPS and establishes objectives for these supply chain areas.Change agent: encourages new insights, processes and approaches. Champions and enables a culture of technical excellence, multidisciplinary problem solving, partnership, consistency, flexibility, execution, quality and effective communication. Accept and implements practical process improvements (PPI)Responsible for providing technical/industry guidance to supply chain professionals within Biologics; must be up to speed on regulations and emerging trends on supply chain management.
Required Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in science or related field, Master's preferred.A minimum of 10 years working in supply chain, preferably in the area of biotechnologyA minimum of 7 years in leadership roles
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
Significant commercial business acumen, excellent customer communication and interaction skills.SAP system integration experience preferredSound financial (P&L) and analytical skills; consistent track record of sound judgment and good decision making.Ability to analyze, interpret and compile data, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make sound decisions.Proven leadership proficiency with excellent people management and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and lead through processes/projects.Understanding of guidelines required by FDA, EMEA, and other regulatory bodies.Strong strategic skills and ability to inspire change.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.~20% Travel Required.
