Openly is hiring a Director, Strategic Programs to join the Product & Strategy team. This position will work closely with Openly Leadership to drive critical projects across all areas of the business - sales, service, claims, marketing, insurance product, technology, etc. The role reports to the VP of Product & Strategy and will help build Openly's strategy, project, and program management processes from the ground up. This is a player / coach role with direct reports as well as individual contributor work.
The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic leader and partner with broad cross-functional experience paired with strong critical thinking and analytical skills. We're looking for someone who is energized by strategic thinking and rolling up their sleeves for tactical execution of key projects. They will enjoy solving a wide variety of critical business problems and collaborating across departments to drive impact/business value. Key Responsibilities
Support VP of Product & Strategy and Chief Product & Strategy Officer on corporate development activities as needed (fundraising, investor / board requests, corporate structuring, etc.) Partner closely with senior leadership to identify and prioritize key strategic questions facing Openly in the near and long term. Manage strategic direction and lead execution of large cross-functional company wide initiatives. Lead strategic analyses and craft recommendations to support Openly's vision. Examples include: new products, new markets, new partnerships, etc. Create program management governance and prioritization frameworks. Manage, coach, and scale a team of project / program managers supporting cross-functional initiatives. #LI-CB1
Requirements
10+ years of professional experience with a focus on consulting, strategic analysis, and cross-functional project management. 2-3 years of people management experience. P&C insurance experience required, with a strong preference for experience across multiple functions. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with superior attention to detail. History of teamwork and collaboration to analyze strategic opportunities, propose solutions, and execute. Highly motivated, resourceful, and inquisitive with a proven track record of making quick decisions and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent people and project management skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people at all levels of the company Passion for leadership, coaching, and developing talent at all levels. #LI-DNI
