JOB SUMMARY
Marriott International is seeking a highly engaged and motivated individual to join our Salesforce Engineering leadership team to oversee the production support of the Reservation Application used by agents at Customer Engagement Centers and properties around the globe. The Director will oversee a team of engineers responsible for triaging production issues, performing configuration changes and code deployment, and will be accountable for ensuring consistent security, privacy, and development standards are met as features and enhancements are deployed to production. The ideal candidate will have proven Salesforce engineering experience working on an application in a highly complex and integrated platform and will possess exceptional communication skills.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Required Experience
Required:
Demonstrated experience in SAFe Agile development methodologies, specifically with large-scale initiatives and geographically distributed teams
In-depth knowledge of application development standards including performance, security, and privacy protocols
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy to understand business terms
Experience with and knowledge of Technology outsourcing activities in a managed services environment
Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins and Dynatrace
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity efforts and competing priorities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related OR equivalent years of experience and/or certification
Preferred:
Experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments
Salesforce developer, architect, or admin certifications
Demonstrated success leading a highly complex and integrated software engineering team
Knowledge of hospitality business environment, service requirements and culture
Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and leading in a managed service environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations
Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies for Salesforce development and deployment
Manage the release process and coordinate deployments across different environments
Provide guidance during evaluation of a business requirement and how it can be met with either point-and-click configuration or code and customization
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization for prioritization and issue resolution
Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $222,943.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $133,766.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
