This individual is responsible for shaping and executing the overall earned communications strategy, overseeing social media channels, and establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships to elevate the Cracker Barrel brand nationwide.
Responsibility
1. Public Relations:
a. Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance the Cracker Barrel’s visibility and reputation.
b. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders both directly and through management of PR firm.
c. Proactively identify PR opportunities and manage crisis communications when necessary.
2. Social Media Management:
a. Oversee the development and execution of the social media strategy across platforms.
b. Develop reporting programs that tell the positive story of social media’s impact on the brand for distribution to senior leaders in the company.
3. Partnerships and Collaborations:
a. Identify and establish partnerships with relevant influencers, brands, and organizations to drive brand relevancy.
b. Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
c. Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute innovative marketing campaigns through partnerships including advertising, PR, social media, retail marketing, and culinary.
4. Brand Messaging: a. Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all communication channels.
b. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align PR, social media, and partnership efforts with overall brand strategies and the marketing calendar.
5. Other Duties:
a. Develop your team with an eye toward job satisfaction, growth and advancement.
b. Oversee the evolution of Cracker Barrel’s giving back platform and liase with Cracker Barrel’s ESG consultant.
Qualifications
Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10-12 years experience in corporate communications, public relations and/or media position.
• Some combination of journalism, corporate social responsibility, crisis communications, and reputation management for a consumer brand is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exposure to social media standards and accepted practices.
