The Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services and is responsible for delivering and operating our datacenter (DC) infrastructure to support our cloud and Artifical Initelligence (AI) business platforms across the World. As customer demand continues to accelerate, our CO+I team is highly focused on delivering high quality, best in class DC infrastructure across multiple countries. This is managed through building multiple datacenters in large campus facilities globally, as well as leasing through our strategic partners. CO+I is also responsible for the 24 x 7 operation and security of the DC fleet, ensuring continuous service to our customers, with ability to grow at pace and ease.
Within CO+I, our Leasing team, partners with DC operators to lease DC capacity, to enable us to grow at pace and scale. We work closely with our trusted partners to ensure best-in-class, high quality delivery to align with our operational needs, and we provide support to these partners to proactively engage throughout the projects to enable effective delivery on time and on budget.
We are looking to fill the role of Director, Project Management - Leasing. This role will be responsible for working closely with our strategic partners during the construction phase of campus projects, to ensure there is complete alignment on design requirements, management of costs during the project and oversight of the program to ensure on time delivery. The role will be the primary point of contact between the DC operator and our internal teams within CO+I and will drive both teams to successful delivery, on time and on budget. The role will be accountable for providing continuous updates internally to enable Microsoft to track progress, and to ensure we deliver for our Customers. As part of this, the role will develop clear processes to ensure effective and efficient decision making, escalation as needed, and fast turnaround in any change management requirements.

Responsibilities
Developing and managing daily relationships with key lessors on every aspect of their construction, from inception to delivery of the space to Microsoft
Focus on delivery on time and on budget, while remaining committed to our best in class safety requirements
Be an influencer with the DC operator to ensure urgency and commitment to deliver
Develop processes to enable effective tracking and reporting of all key decisions
Provide regular updates and executive level reporting on all delivery progress, and early escalation of any potential issues
Ability to independently manage and drive project safety, schedule and quality, effectively report status, risks and issues and delivery and mitigation plans, work with internal stakeholders and influence cross-discipline teams and proactively support the development of regional Lease delivery strategy.
Be well versed with project planning and execution phases, communicate effectively via multi partner engagement
Identify and drive options to improve operational process improvements with key lessors
Attend site visits and Lessor reporting forums to assess safety compliance, construction and commissioning progress, quality and design compliance, understand and manage risk and change and coordinate with all internal stakeholders including;
People Management ability supporting Microsoft values
Ability to encourage teamwork and collaboration through effectively managing change
Ability to influence at an executive level and navigate within an environment that requires the buy-in of multiple stakeholders across the organization
Ability to self-direct and a background in Datacenter Construction with an emphasis on project and construction management.
This individual have a blend of program management and operations skills to be successful. The individual requires interpersonal, communication and planning skills, business acumen and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects. The individual will be accountable for working with key lessors in assessing lessor construction capabilities, overseeing construction delivery, managing risk and coordination with internal stakeholders on a portfolio of Lease projects with key Lessors.
Ability to travel between Phoenix, Richmond, Atlanta and Irving, Texas
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of lifecycle management of a large infrastructure project.
2+ years datacenter domain experience.
Construction Health & Safety Knowledge.
Organization skills with demonstrated ability to be adaptable.
Business acumen and agility to ramp.
Enjoy working under pressure and deadlines, be able to work independently, with ability to manage complexity while driving clarity
Experience in managing virtual teams and driving impact without direct authority
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
