Job Description
This company is one of the country's leading renewable energy developers, with more than 25 GW of renewable projects in development across the United States and significant growth planned in the near future. We are seeking an experienced Director of Project Development, that is a collaborative and self-motivated individual to help us advance existing and planned carbon capture and sequestration development opportunities. The Director, Project Development is responsible for managing the activities necessary for the successful development of carbon capture and sequestration facilities and/or natural gas-fired power generation facilities, including preparing development plans with a detailed project schedule and budget, managing the project development to that schedule and budget, and managing relationships with the local community. The development plans, when executed, will minimize development cost exposure within approved guidelines while achieving development milestones as scheduled.
Skills and Requirements
· 10 years' experience in project development
· Development experience managing/leading power generation projects (carbon, solar, battery, green hydrogen), oil and gas projects or similar infrastructure projects.
· Experience developing projects from inception to conception.
· Experience preparing development plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and major decision points.
· Knowledge of multiple US energy markets including MISO, SPP, ERCOT, SERC, PJM and/or WECC
· Experience fostering relationships with local landowners, politicians, and regulators to garner support for the project and minimize opposition.
· Experience participating in public relations efforts, including participation in interviews, and providing input on press releases and informational materials.
· Bachelor's Degree required.
· Must be able to travel on short notice for domestic and international overnight business. · Experience developing natural gas-fired power generation facilities/projects. null
