RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a complex program portfolio that advances Nielsen's strategic transformation goalsOversee the work of Program and Project Managers to ensure successful execution of the program (indirect management)Balance the oversight of detailed execution with ability to create strategic, executive level communications on our program portfolio statusCross functional stakeholder management within Nielsen and with external partnersPortfolio ManagementOwn design and execution of large, strategic programs; build program roadmaps, work plans and management system to enable executionPartner with people manager peers to balance project and program manager workloads to effectively support the needs of the businessAnticipate and manage program dependencies, raise risks early, and remove impedimentsCoach team to proactively manage the execution state to resolve issues, organize and connect the dots, anticipate the news to reduce confusion and noise, and create transparency that aligns the teams and stakeholdersIdentify and actively manage cross-team and cross-program dependencies and come up with approaches on how to lessen dependenciesCollaborate with internal and third-party stakeholders to ensure strategic outcomes are metContinuous ImprovementDefine and lead end to end model for stakeholder engagement, from planning to executionCreate playbooks for execution of repeatable actions
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years related experienceExpert at leading without authority; proven ability to influence and gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions, and culturesPreferred: experience operating in Nielsen's matrixed environmentComfort working with virtual and globally distributed teamsAbility to work through and resolve ambiguity Independent leader with grit and problem solving skillsStrong communicator; ability to summarize complex ideas for multiple audiencesPreferred: experience working in M&A or large transformationsExceptional content design and presentation skills with advanced experience with Google Suite of products - Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.Evidence of continuous learning

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000-150,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
