In this role as Director of Product Management, you will drive innovation and strategy for Tableau's data modeling capabilities. Your work and its impact will span multiple teams and multiple strategic initiatives, balancing delivery of needed capabilities in the BI space, incorporating the latest innovations in GAI, and building integrations into the broader Salesforce portfolio. Your job will require strong communication and partnering skills as you work with many stakeholders to identify opportunities that fulfill customer and strategic needs, make sound technology decisions, and build a strategy and roadmap that informs how we take Tableau into the future.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data modeling features in the context of the overall product and company strategy. Communicate and collaborate with a wide range of partners across Analytics Cloud & Data Cloud, engineering, design, and user research, as well as sales and go-to-market teams.Lead UX, Research and cross-cloud teams through analytics NorthStar ideation.Work cross-team to drive and coordinate changes.Support work throughout the entire development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, feature prioritization and definition, and evangelism (internally and externally) of the features once complete.Evangelize your product/features to both internal and external customer-facing programs and events. Present Tableau product capabilities, vision, value propositions, and roadmap briefings to customers, prospects, the Tableau sales team, and at other public events. Drive improvements to our standard processes and create success metrics for your work. Mentoring others in Product Management as well Tableau and BI skills.Championing our culture and values.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
Extensive experience in product management and hands-on with analytics or data/BI tools. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of Tableau.Customer-focused. For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,200 to $280,200.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $210,800 to $305,600.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
