Job Description
The Director, Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement (OCAR) will serve to optimize our engagement with organized customers for the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit. The organized customer segment includes Payers, Employers, and Integrated Delivery Networks. The OCAR director is accountable for defining needs and developing strategies and tactics to support the vaccines portfolio in totality as well as maximizing each individual brand. This Director will also manage and develop a team of Associate Directors aligned to prioritized brands and customer segments. The OCAR director will function as a subject matter authority for the trends and behaviors of the organized customer segment within the context of the vaccine business. The OCAR director requires strong knowledge of the organized customer segments, including reimbursement of vaccines, policy environment related to customer segments, strategy development, marketing choices, campaign planning, execution skills, deep knowledge of the evolving vaccines healthcare landscape, robust analytical skills and strong team collaboration and leadership skills.
Position tasks:
Manage a team of six Associate Directors aligned to prioritized brands and segments.
Function as a subject matter authority for dynamics, trends and behaviors of the organized customer segments broadly and within the context of the vaccine business to help drive our company's Vaccines strategy and performance.
Develop our company's Vaccines organized customer value proposition by portfolio and brand, and the associated messaging platform, to foster the prioritization and/or utilization of our company's Vaccines portfolio and compliant partnership with our company given today’s evolving healthcare landscape and decision makers.
Partner with Brand Marketers to adapt and scale branded or disease specific marketing programs for optimal deployment with organized customers.
Create and deliver training content relative to new initiatives in the healthcare environment, including but not limited to health economic outcome research (HEOR), population health management and quality measures.
Develop payor innovative contracting programs and pricing input, understanding the impact within the segment, and customer performance monitoring.
Collaborate with Customer Engagement Team, Contracting Team, IAM team and Brand Teams to share insights to help meet the needs of our company's and the organized customer and to design specific initiatives relevant to organized customers.
Develop relationships with key organized customer thought leaders; through established forums for feedback, e.g. advisory boards.
Collaborate across brands/portfolio on preparation of the annual Budget Plan and the organized customer marketing budget.
Qualifications
Education:
BS/BA Degree
MS/MBA Degree Preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
BS/BA Degree
10 or more years of marketing including Payor, IDN, or other organized customer segment marketing knowledge.
Demonstrated marketing strategic planning, tactical program design, and execution.
Proven track record of success with working effectively in a team-based environment, balancing diverse cross-functional perspectives, strong problem solving, leadership, and collaboration skills.
High level change agility, flexibility and comfort with addressing and adapting to ambiguity.
Demonstrated quality in oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Marketing to organized customers strongly preferred.
People management.
Deep understanding of the evolving Vaccines US healthcare landscape impacting the organized customer segment including payer landscape, quality and health information technology
