KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Operations Excellence to join our Operations organization.
Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of Process Transformation, including discovery, prioritization, current state, future state, control and sustainability, and business case development and realizationApply comprehensive or specialist-level knowledge of Process Reengineering, Operations Excellence, Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma tools, best practices, and departmental processes to evolve and iterate the firm's Operations Excellence strategy while providing thoughtful analysis in real-time with a focus on vision, value, speed, talent and benefits realizationAct as a key communicator of the vision for Operations Excellence and Continuous Improvement, creating and communicating executive communications and value propositions to ensure buy-in; clearly articulate vision and strategy; consult with internal clients to model future-state, develop roadmaps and create business cases in support of effortsCreate the governance, standards, and delivery capability to enable execution of Process Reengineering and Operations Excellence priorities; partner with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and leverage of best practices; take strategic and proactive responsibility to understand firm services and identify opportunities to better serve internal clients with an Operations Excellence mindset, and efforts will consider firmwide areas for optimization including the Audit, Tax, Advisory practicesProvide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff to advance their career development; manage and review those team members' work product; contribute to planning for short term needs, that is, projects and processes; may construct annual plan for deployment of those resources; account for people management for a mid-sized to small team of entry level through intermediate level professionalsEstablish Process Reengineering and Operations Excellence strategic goals, objectives and priorities for the team as aligned to those of the overall firmServe as a subject matter resource, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services; lead presentations, workshops, and proposals for medium to high complex projects and provide subject matter insight in relevant areas; make decisions on highly complex issues and recognize when to escalate to leadership or consult others; provide training and capability uplift services to internal clients at all levels of the FirmQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent experience designing and deploying lean strategyBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required; Master's degree from an accredited college/university preferredProven experience leading execution of Operations Excellence priorities, and implementing a variety of Lean tools and methodologies in a large organization such as: Hoshin, Value Stream/Process Mapping, Strategy Deployment, A3 Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, Diagnostics, Tiered Visual Management with Performance Metrics, Demand and Capacity Management; demonstrated proficiency and passion for Lean methodology, tools, and process improvement; Black Belt highly preferredExperience managing and delivering large-scale projects, and transformation programs, including project planning and monitoring, resource management (including project finances), benefits realization, and more; ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the organization and the firm; external consulting experience preferredProven experience in solving complex problems in business processes; able to think about objectives from multiple perspectives and consider non-conventional ideas and approaches for achieving objectives; capability to lead and ensure execution of strategic initiatives and address emerging opportunities and how the organization should be organized/staffed to realize themOutstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions; able to ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization; capable of addressing emerging opportunities and how organization should be organized/staffed to realize them
