  Description

  SUMMARY:Directs the administration of supported and community vocational programs and Self-Direction Brokerage and Fiscal Intermediary programs. Supervises managers and supervisors of Self-Direction and Vocational Services.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  Oversees all ACCESS-VR, OMH, OPWDD and county vocational funding. Oversees Self Direction services of Support Brokerage and Fiscal Intermediary Waiver funding.

  Serves as liaison to community organizations and local businesses to promote vocational services and develop opportunities for enrollees.

  Acts as back-up of the Pre-vocational manager and vocational coordinator as needed.

  Assists with developing, monitoring and tracking of department budgets.

  Liaison with ACCESS-VR counselors and all other referral agents.

  Engages in collaborations and trade association groups for Self Direction in NYS and other providers to increase connectivity, information sharing, and best practices.

  Serves as liaison between the business community, service stakeholders and enrollee for resolution of any employment concerns.

  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly supervises supported and community employment services staff, broker manager and fiscal manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  Requirements

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in vocational rehabilitation or related area such as personnel, counseling, guidance and one year of experience in vocational rehabilitation or other suitable fields; or Bachelor's degree and three years of appropriate experience in services to individuals with disabilities; or Five years’ experience as an evaluator in community rehabilitation programs and completion of specialized rehabilitation-related courses AND Certification as an administrator of any instrument(s) utilized that requires such designation; or, certification in the field in which a specialized assessment is performed, such as a licensed psychologist, registered occupational therapist,or other qualifying license or certification required for the specific standardized test or specialized evaluation.

  Salary Description

  $58,500
