Position Summary
The Director of the ACHIEVE Evening/Weekend Bachelor of Science in Nursing and RN to BSN Programs manages the academic and clinical activities for students per the requirements of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing regulations for nursing programs.
Essential Duties
• Conduct initial interviews, as needed, with prospective Evening/Weekend Bachelor of Science in Nursing and RN to BSN students.
• Work closely with the Office of Enrollment regarding student admission.
• Review transcripts, posts transfer credits, and graduation audits for all students.
• Advise students in the Evening/Weekend Bachelor of Science in Nursing and RN to BSN Programs using University tools such as Starfish and DegreeWorks.
• Maintain advising records of all students in collaboration with the Assistant Dean and Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program.
• Prepare the course roster and schedule for each semester for students in the ACHIEVE and RN to BSN programs in coordination with the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program Director and the Assistant Dean including La Salle University pre-requisite classes.
• Coordinate, with the input of faculty and under the direction of the Undergraduate Chair, all classroom and clinical practica schedules pertinent to the undergraduate nursing curriculum as implemented.
• Verify ACHIEVE and RN to BSN student compliance with clinical agency requirements in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant for Clinical Compliance prior to their placement in clinical agencies.
• Complete the Clinical Agency Placement Request as needed for RN to BSN students' clinical rotation.
• Assist with assigning students in the Evening/Weekend program to clinical groups.
• Coordinate the annual orientation program for new ACHIEVE students.
• Conduct an annual review of the program handbooks in coordination with the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program.
• Evaluate and recommend to the Connelly Library and to academic computing those resources needed to facilitate the Evening/Weekend Undergraduate Nursing and RN to BSN curricula.
• Participate in marketing and recruitment efforts for the ACHEVE and RN to BSN programs.
• Compose a section of the Annual Report, Undergraduate Nursing Program section, on the progress of the Evening/Weekend Bachelor of Science in Nursing and RN to BSN Programs and submit to the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program.
• Under the direction of the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program, oversee and coordinate outcome measurements for the ACHIEVE and RN to BSN Programs in accordance with the Nursing Program Systematic Plan of Program Evaluation.
• Support the Chair's preparations for visits by State Board of Nursing staff as well as the administration of the Basic Undergraduate program in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing regulations that include informing the Board of changes in the program, in affiliations and in faculty assignments, and the standards of accrediting agencies.
• Conduct graduation audits for Evening/Weekend Bachelor of Science in Nursing and RN to BSN students and prepare graduation lists for Registrar's Office.
• Assist in the planning of recognition events for graduating ACHIEVE and RN to BSN students.
• Participate in the preparation of documents needed for ACHIEVE students seeking RN licensure.
• Attend committee meetings in the School and University as ssigned.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Performs other duties assigned by the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences related to advisement and general record management.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated organizational abilities and attention to detail. • Strong commitment to student services. • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, internet search software, and function specific databases. • High comfort level in using technology to optimize workflow and business processes. • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master of Science in Nursing preferred • Three years experience with advising students at a collegiate level. • Previous experience working in a higher education environment • Previous experience using Ellucian's Banner
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
• Evening and weekend work may be necessary during peak times • Local travel may be required for open houses and events
