About the Position:
As Director, Skincare Operations, you will be at the helm of driving revenue growth for our existing skincare lines while spearheading the successful launch and expansive implementation of custom formulations. This dynamic leadership role is pivotal in orchestrating operational excellence and maximizing revenue through marketing channels, our provider network, and our ecommerce platform. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of TSC, and your strategic leadership will directly impact the company's success and growth trajectory.
This role will report directly to the head of marketing and will work in collaboration with marketing team members. You will develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize online sales, enhance skincare customer experience, and drive revenue growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the overall success of The Skin Clique's ecommerce and skincare business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for maximizing revenue from existing skincare lines, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization.
Lead the strategic planning and implementation of initiatives to drive revenue through effective pricing, promotions.
Custom Formulation Launch:
Oversee the development and successful launch of custom skincare formulations, aligning with market trends, customer preferences, and brand positioning.
Strategically introduce new formulations to market, ensuring the delivery of seamless integration, messaging, and education to TSC providers.
Expansive Implementation:
Drive the widespread implementation of custom formulations while optimizing production processes for scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a coordinated effort in introducing and promoting new formulations.
Ecommerce Leadership:
Take charge of the ecommerce strategy, leveraging online platforms to enhance revenue streams and consumer engagement.
Oversee the development and execution of ecommerce initiatives, including website optimization, digital marketing, influencer marketing strategy, and customer experience.
Identify new growth opportunities and implement initiatives to optimize conversion rates, customer retention, and average order value.
Monitor industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Operational Efficiency:
Ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency in skincare production, fulfillment, and ecommerce operations.
Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to streamline processes and reduce time to market for new formulations.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize analytics and market insights to inform decision making processes, identify revenue opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of revenue generating initiatives.
Skincare Product Management:
Conduct market research, identify customer needs, and translate insights into effective product strategies.
Ensure the timely introduction of new products, managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch to retirement.
Customer Experience and Engagement:
Continuously enhance the online customer experience by optimizing website usability, navigation, and checkout process.
Implement personalized marketing strategies to drive customer engagement, loyalty, and repeat purchases.
Analyze customer data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
Digital Marketing and Campaigns:
Collaborate with the marketing team and agency partners to develop and execute ecommerce marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, paid advertising, and SEO/SEM.
Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
Regularly review and implement digital marketing trends and best practices to ensure the company's marketing efforts remain effective and competitive.
Reporting & Analytics:
Maintain weekly dashboard that displays high-level metrics that inform team leaders of department progress.
Provide monthly reports on KPIs with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Report to C-suite leaders to convey progress, new initiatives, and key performance indicators around profit of the ecommerce program. Responsibility for Skincare P&L.
Vendor and Partnership Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to maximize profitability and maintain high-quality standards.
Evaluate vendor performance regularly and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
Proven experience (8+ years) in ecommerce leadership and skincare industry.
Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms, digital marketing, and analytics tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Store, Shopify, etc.).
Demonstrated success in driving online sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
In-depth understanding of skincare products, ingredients, and industry trends.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Strong marketing background and understanding of the importance of marketing channels to drive success in this position.
