Ford is #1 in commercial vehicles in North America and the #1 brand in Europe, but our services business is nascent - huge opportunity to build a new business/market leader Ford's Telematics product is launched/has been in market for several years and is experiencing rapid growth, though there is still meaningful time/room to influence the overall strategy, features, and look/feel of the product and lead the team through a period of breakout growth Ford has embedded high-quality modems into all commercial vehicles since 2020 - creating a base of connected vehicles in the market and allowing Ford to meaningfully differentiate from current, aftermarket-hardware-based Telematics competitors
The Team
Launched during the summer 2023, Integrated Services will create and market new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services will allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicle like never before, with OTA (over the air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.
Integrated Services is currently building its administrative and functional teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll be able to do:
Own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for the front-end experiences for Ford's Telematics products, globallyWhat do our commercial customers need? How does this vary by persona? By customer segment? By region? How should these needs be met through the web and app features for Telematics?How well are these customers served today by currently available offerings?How can Ford differentiate and best serve our commercial customers?Own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Ford Pro unified appThis includes the app experiences for Telematics, as well as Ford Pro Charging, and may include the app experiences for other future commercial and fleet-focused opportunitiesSet and drive the product roadmap to bring your vision to life, working with the engineering and design teamsPartner with Telematics back-end product/engineering team to understand what is possible from a data, controls, insights, etc. standpoint and to align on joint roadmaps to create novel, high-value featuresWork with sales and marketing to ensure your products are commercially successfulBecome the undisputed expert on commercial fleet customers and their telematics needsConduct primary research (interviews, surveys, attend trade shows, etc.)Consolidate internal knowledge on the customer/prior productsShadow the sales team to pull back knowledge from sales into the product/roadmapInstrument the product to learn directly from useReport state out to and manage concerns of executive Ford stakeholdersManage and develop a high performing team of product managers to execute the above
QUALIFICATIONS
What you have:
Bachelor's degree>10 years as a product manager, having shipped successful products in the past, ideally in the B2B SaaS space and/or data/insights-heavy products>5 years of management experience, with meaningful people-management experience of product managersTrack record of solving tough problems and delivering working solutions throughout careerDemonstrated effectiveness in large, complex, highly matrixed organizationsPassion for serving customers

Although this role can work remotely, preference for applicants who can work part time in our Dearborn, MI, Palo Alto, CA or Seattle, WA officesExperience building and/or using Telematics productsExperience working with / in businesses that utilize fleets of vehiclesExperience working with data and products which leverage dataAcademic and/or work background in engineering or hard sciences
