Job Description
As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for planning, managing a high volume & complex, multi-location food service operation. Candidate will oversee the current operations leadership within the district which includes residential dining halls, casual dining, catering, and markets. The DO will be report to the Resident District Manager.

Job Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and controls all unit food service and resources to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs in a multi-unit operation.
Responsible for analyzing all financial reports for residential and retail operations, as well as reviewing all financial measurements with directors to ensure achievement of financial goals.
Provide guidance and support in developing action plans to address areas requiring improvement and ensures compliance with ARAMARK Standard of Operations in all residential, retail and catering operations.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new marketing and culinary concepts for residential and retail locations.
Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels with client organization.
Interfaces with District Manager, Unit Directors, and their staff. Collaborates with managers of other units within own division.
Ensures administration of HR policies and interprets and ensures compliance with company policies such as safety, sanitation and purchasing.
In partnership with Finance, manages a budget and assists in the design of improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
Develops operational component forecasts and can explain variances.
Manages compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes and maintains all associated records and reports.
Reconcile month-end reports and develop action plans.
Coach/develop a high potential employee to a higher level.
Ensures compliance with Aramark's standards of operation always including safety standards and Aramark?s Business Conduct Policy.
Qualifications
In order to be prepared for this leadership role, qualified candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree level education highly preferred in an area of Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management.
The ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential to success in this role.
Savvy interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.
Comfortable reading, understanding, and implementing contractual requirements, including identifying opportunities within contract terms and conditions to address operational issues.
Meaningful experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment.
Proven ability leading through other managers.
Experience in creating and managing a department budget, financial controls and analysis.
Experience crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs and initiatives.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
