The Director of People will partner with assigned business leaders/functional clients to develop, implement, and manage people and culture programs that are data-driven and bring excitement and positive energy to the employee experience throughout the talent journey to result in growth, development, and retention of team members and achievement of business goals.
We are looking for a leader to join the People team who is passionate about delivering a world-class service to support our team and business leaders. In this role, you will also partner with talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards, and people operations teams to ensure people processes that impact employee experience, like onboarding, employee relations, performance management, coaching, training, development and offboarding are supported, integrated with organizational culture, and deliver business outcomes with effective change management and communication.

Responsibilities
What does it take to be a successful Director of HR?
Actively support and implement a broad range of people and HR programs and processes that align with company vision, guiding principles/philosophies, and strategic talent plans for assigned business teams.Collaborate with assigned business leaders to ensure people solutions focus on delivering results and outcomes while maintaining compliance with company policies, practices, and employment lawPartner with talent acquisition, learning and development, and people operations to implement programs, policies, and processes within business teams.Engage with hiring leaders and TA Partners as needed to support the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies.Build positive relationships with business leaders and team members with proactive connection and communication.Partner with business leaders on people processes that deliver the associate experience, including onboarding, training, coaching, development, performance management, and offboarding, to ensure we are building a culture that excites our team members, sets them up for success, helps them thrive and continuously grow within the company.Assist business leaders with development plans for teams and employees in collaboration with learning and development.Communicate tools and resources that emphasize company culture and support change management.Create, contribute, design and development of People Operations SOPs and business metrics and analyze people-related data and reporting to determine trends, patterns, and talent insights as needed.Perform employee maintenance in HR tech platform on occasion and investigate discrepancies when needed. Provide advisory support, solutions, and guidance to assigned business leaders on various HR related issues and needs that arise. This includes consulting with leaders and legal counsel on employee relations issues including investigating, coaching, advising, reporting, and involuntary separations when necessaryMaintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Maintain current knowledge of federal and state work rules (OT, meals, lunch breaks, etc.) and ensure compliance across business teams.Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and recommended appropriate resolutions.Enable organizational capability through day-to-day performance management guidance to business leaders and support execution of performance management processes (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, performance appraisals, corrective actions, etc.).
Qualifications
Education/Training:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, required or commensurate experience in related role.PHR or SHRM preferred.Experience:7-10 years' experience in a Human Resources/People Operations support function within a fast paced and high growth environment, preferably in a related industry with a matrixed organization structure.California expertise required including a thorough knowledge of state specific laws and compliance matters.Must have experience in a multi-state, specialty retail or healthcare environment.Demonstrated leadership and business acumen with ability to think strategically and understand cultural and business drivers that impact people.CollaborativeCreative problem solver that is data-driven and solutions oriented.Excellent communication and follow up skills with ability to build and establish trusted relationships.Strong customer service focus and approach.Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and continuously simplify workflows.Strong organizational and project management skills with bias for action.Ability to quickly learn technical tools and systems.Knowledge of HR best practices, systems, and protocols.Accurate, logical, well organized and detail oriented.Operates with a high degree of integrity and trust, ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Takes initiative and sees projects through to completion with proactive issue resolution.Ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities.Proven ability to thrive in an emerging environment.Technical or Administrative Knowledge:Experience with HR technology required, iCIMS and UKG highly preferred.Tech savvy, with a high aptitude and passion for learning new technology systems and tools. Analytical and open minded with acute attention to detail- expertise in data analytics and excel.Strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively manage and drive multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.Possess superior Excel and PowerPoint skillsIdeal Image is an equal opportunity employer.
