  About the Role

  In this role, you will you manage teams of leaders and coders who develop high quality, accessible, responsive & performant code for the purpose of marketing content. In this role you will be developing new strategies and capabilities for WCD that will drive Gap Inc.’s financial success through new technology, tools, processes, and coding practices and procedures. You will need to be passionate about content development and bring your learnings of new coding techniques and technologies.

  What You'll Do

  Code and develop tools, marketing content and feature development for our brands

  Troubleshoot coding issues, risks and bugs to avoid any poor customer experiences and effectively communicate with cross functional partners and leadership

  Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross business partners such as partners brand production, marketing and creative teams and cross functional partners such as PdM, GapTech, design teams and UX to incorporate visual design, tests and new features into functional marketing content

  Develop and lead others in key strategies and initiatives and their implementation

  Responsible for planning, budget and end results; set policies and strategic direction for area/team

  Lead teams of high-performing iOS/Android engineers to build an architecturally sustainable codebase with millions of MAU and ever-growing share of Gap Inc’s eCom revenue

  Partner with the Product Manager to define a road map, work with other product teams to provide guidance

  Set team goals and technical direction, ensuring an emphasis on quality (code coverage, test automation) and alignment with the larger organization

  Participate in and lead code reviews and proof-of-concepts

  Collaborate with other product teams to provide guidance, requirements and get feedback on their code and yours. Interactions with third-party vendors will also be required, as we leverage a variety of SDKs for payment, printing and other peripheral integrations.

  Monitor and manage team performance, set goals, coach and develop engineers

  Who You Are

  Demonstrated ability of leading, managing and coaching others

  Technical expert in web & email languages; demonstrates strong coding skills; proficient with cross platform and compatibility issues, eCommerce site development, production and programming

  Evaluate relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions

  Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills; including strong time and project management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines and resolving conflicts where confusion may arise

  Able to filter, prioritize, analyze, and validate potentially complex In depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own subject area and understanding of procedures and concepts in other areas

  A seasoned, mobile engineering leader with at least five years hands-on mobile application development experience with SWIFT/Objective C and/or React Native and strong examples of long-lived apps delivered over multiple releases. Experience with iOS/Android peripheral integration a strong plus (printers, payments, etc.)

  Experience leading, inspiring, and motivating teams through effective communication, experience working in product-oriented organizations where you’ve influenced other product teams to deliver features that enhanced your product

  Strong focus on security and understanding of how to handle customer data compliant with PCI, PII, GDPR, etc.

  Experience architecting, designing and developing highly-scalled and available applications

  Hands-on experience with iOS, Android app development and/or node.js also a strong plus (we leverage an in-house node.js façade API layer). Exposure and experience with eCom at scale also a strong plus.

  Salary Range: $185,500 - $245,800 USD

  Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
