About the Job:
As part of the largest quick-service restaurant company in the world, Taco Bell is an industry leader in building new restaurants across in the globe. As the brand continues to grow, Taco Bell is looking for an experienced Director to lead the Market Planning & Development Insights team. This team is responsible for establishing the brand’s real estate development strategy through comprehensive analysis, communicating growth opportunities across the system, and maintaining analytical tools to support decision-making. The Development Insights team acts as an internal consulting team, providing strategic recommendations pertaining to the expansion of Taco Bell’s footprint across the United States and Canada. This role involves a combination of market analysis, strategic planning, and business development. The Market Planning & Development Insights Director will oversee all analyses, make recommendations to brand leadership, and represent the brand to franchisees.

The Day-to-Day:
Lead a team that develops, maintains, and communicates the brand’s market plan to field real estate teams and franchisees. Oversee the strategic analysis of Taco Bell’s growth opportunity across the U.S. and Canada while maintaining the execution of Taco Bell’s development policy to protect the profitable growth of the brand. Improve the process of combining field experience and data insights to prioritize growth trade areas. Partner cross-functionally with Design, Operations, Construction, and Field Development teams Drive strategic thinking and collaboration with Franchisees and Taco Bell leadership. Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market share, and positioning to identify competitive strengths and weaknesses and develop strategic recommendations. Is This You?
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a similar field; MBA preferred or equivalent years of experience. 12+ years of relevant experience working in management consulting, retail market planning, or leading a team of business analysts; Applicable experience in real estate strategy a plus. Experience leading and inspiring a team in a market planning or real estate research capacity. Proficient in financial metrics with experience working with and developing financial models and forecasts. The ability to influence stakeholders, both internal (cross-functional partners) and external (franchisees). An effective communicator who can present complex findings and make clear recommendations.
