  The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the manufacturing function. This position is responsible for all operations and personnel at the 100,000 ft2 facility in Gananoque, Ontario. This position is also responsible for the plants ethical and regulatory compliance as well as representing the corporation within the community in a positive manner

  Accountabilities:

  Oversees the administration of all assembly and production operations at a single site.Responsible for P&L and wellbeing of 300 employeesDevelops and manages the attainment of plant goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery (service), Cost, People Development and Continuous Improvement, and KPI’s including day to day and strategic initiatives.Develops a facility vision that complies with Company objectives; ensures clear and concise objectives are in place for all employees and accountability against stated objectives.Evaluates, adjusts, and manages workforce planning/staffing levels based on customer insights, orders, and site demand.Ensures adherence to all quality procedures through collaboration with the quality team to identify and mitigate risk factors.Administers company policies and procedures.Adheres to GMP based Quality Systems requirements for medical devices and medicinal product (e.g., MDD, EU GMP Guidelines, ISO 13485, FDA Regulations). Including QBWM (Quality Begins With Me) program.Approves, influences, and oversees the annual expense budgets for areas of responsibility and provides signature approval.Oversees the progress of major plant projects and R&D programs to ensure that Company goals and objectives are clearly defined and met by all areas of responsibility.Enables a work culture in which all employees pay attention to and work in support of a safe and healthy work environment. This includes following the established rules, policies, and practices of environmental, health and safety with specific attention to Cardinal Health Rules.Leadership

  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field with emphasis in management preferred10+ years of experience in manufacturing or related fieldEffective communication skills – written and verbalSolid and proven management and leadership experience to include leading a multi-disciplinary team.Proven track record of team development and engagement.Experience with projects requiring complex change management.Innovative and strategic thinkerExperience in Operational Excellence (Lean Six Sigma) strongly preferred.Experience developing business-specific strategies and implementing them.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate with all functions and levels within the company, as well as customers, suppliers, and the community.Demonstrated problem solving skills with many issues, develop solutions, and successfully implement corrective action plans through subordinates.Leadership Cadence
