ROLE SUMMARY
The Kendall Square (KSQ) Site Affairs Lead will coordinate the strategy and implementation for colleague engagement, site operations, external outreach and internal communications.They will work closely with the KSQ Site Head, Discovery & Early Development leadership team and other senior leaders at the KSQ site.They will report to the Site Affairs & Scientific Operations Head within the Program Management & Scientific Operations group. They will be responsible for ensuring Pfizer-Kendall Square remains a preeminent research facility, strengthen our ability to recruit and retain top talent, and support a culture aligned with our corporate values.They will oversee day-to-day operations of the site and act as the main point of contact for all Research Units and Partner Lines that operate at the site as well as support functions such as Global Operations, Security, Business Technology, and Finance. They will be required to build strong and sustainable relationships with leaders and colleagues across the site.
The colleague in this role will be relied upon as a key strategic thinking partner for the Cambridge site and will be a key member of the innovation initiatives that will contribute to the site and Pfizer, overall.The individual should have a proactive and strategic approach to building partnerships externally and working to influence, develop, and attract and retain valuable talent.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Colleague Engagement:
Leverage their business and scientific expertise to lead the Site Affairs team and provide leadership for the KSQ site.
Is responsible to enable delivery of the PRD portfolio through the scientists and staff the reside at the KSQ site.
Lead KSQ colleague engagement strategy in partnership with SA&SO Head, KSQ Site Head and the D&ED leadership team.
Accountable for creating and enabling a culture where every colleague can do their best work and feels valued for their contribution to portfolio goals.
Lead the KSQ Site Affairs team for internal events with Pfizer ELT, PRD LT and other executive leader visits.
Collaborate with the Groton Site Affairs lead to support programming that will bring the Groton and KSQ sites closer together, identify areas of synergy and opportunities for cross-site programming.
Responsible for KSQ internal communications.
External Partnerships and Outreach:
Responsible for hosting external visitors to provide overview and tour of the Cambridge site speaking to our science and portfolio.
Partner to Pfizer Corp Government Affairs to support their work to engage Massachusetts legislative leaders and international government officials as needed to support Pfizer's business in those countries.
Engage other leaders in Boston-area industry and trade organizations as the Pfizer representative e.g Kendall Square Association, MassBio trade organization.
Establish a program for Pfizer Cambridge colleagues to engage in volunteer opportunities.
Site Operations:
Responsible for overseeing site operations activities related to the KSQ R&D site in partnership with the GWE Site Lead.
Ensure that KSQ remains a state-of-the art R&D site that is designed optimally to support a highly productive R&D environment.
Serve as a primary point of contact for Discovery & Early Development (D&ED) organization, Research Units and Partner Lines to resolve issues.
Representing the scientists and all staff at the KSQ site to Enabling functions to ensure all staff have the resources and facilities needed to deliver the portfolio.
A key decision-maker for prioritizing site facility & enhancement projects, such as space planning and renovations to optimize laboratory and office space utilization.
Co-lead KSQ Crisis Management & Business Continuity team with KSQ Head of Security.
Represent PRD in all KSQ Real Estate decisions and long term facility strategies.
Serve as Pfizer Point of Accountability for the LabCentral610 laboratory operations, and leader of the LabCentral610 Steering Committee.
Responsible for managing the KSQ Site Affairs budget.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/MS or Advanced degree required with 15+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in budget management.
Track record in establishing and managing external partnerships.
Experience in developing and executing communications strategies.
A strong track record as a strategic thinker and implementer.
Crisp decision-maker.
Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence."
High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and work collaboratively.
Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment while demonstrating a resourceful, positive attitude and superior work ethic.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
