The Role
The EMEA Director Health & Safety Audit & Assurance will report to the Senior Director of Health and Safety, this role will provide functional leadership for Health and Safety Audit & Assurance. The role requires ability to collaborate to develop strategy and drive execution across 3 TE Segments, 10 TE Business Units (BU) and functions. This is a key leadership role that will be an important member of the Global EH&S team and for leading high-level reviews with top leadership. This position will be responsible for Global H&S Audit & Assurance Program development and for driving TE Operating Advantage (TEOA - TE's Lean Business methodology) across his/her global team to achieve continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have desire and drive for upward mobility and exhibit the required values, performance, and behaviors to enable such.

Key Responsibilities
Global Audit & Assurance Program & Policy for TE EH&S
Lead the development, revision, and continuous improvement of TE Audit & Assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines, aligning them with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.Ensure seamless implementation of audit & assurance policies throughout the organization.Collaborate with TE Ethics and Compliance Team to develop, update, and communicate policies.
Safety Management System Leadership:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive safety management system that aligns with industry standards and best practices.Lead the EMEA region to be an effective enabler to achieve company goals of zero injuries and partner collaboratively with business and operations teams to build partnerships and effective workforce engagement.Manage the strategic risk profile throughout the identification of hazards and risks through the company audit and assurance program.Drive deployment of key regional activities to ensure complete, on-time schedule execution.Provide leadership and support for development and implementation of global EHS programs. Lead a cross functional team to assess, develop and deploy H&S strategies for a diverse group (operations, maintenance, engineering labs, contingent labor)Develop systems and metrics to effectively track, monitor and report progress to business and leadership team members.Monitor and analyze lagging and leading indicators to identify areas for improvement.Oversee all aspects of the safety management system, ensuring its effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Compliance Management:
Stay abreast of safety regulations and standards pertinent to the company's industry and guarantee adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.Periodically review and adapt safety policies to reflect evolving regulatory requirements.Administer accountability process and reviews to ensure zero-tolerance to EH&S standards violations.
Safety Training and Education:
Support development of comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all organizational levels according to the audit & assurance program requirements.Collaborate closely with Segment a/BU/ and site personnel to ensure thorough understanding of and adherence to the TE Audit & Assurance Program Requirements.
Expertise for Audit & Assurance:
Serve as the in-house expert for interpreting and clarifying audit & assurance policy requirements, answering questions from employees, management, and stakeholders.Provide guidance and solutions for complex audit & assurance policy-related inquiries.
Regulatory Liaison:
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, representing the company during safety inspections and audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Assessment and Assurance:
Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for continuous policy and standards improvement.
Safety Culture Promotion:
Cultivate a pervasive culture of safety, accountability, and ongoing improvement throughout the organization.Encourage active employee participation in safety initiatives and the reporting of safety concerns.
The Profile
10+ years of relatable experience in EH&S and audit & assurance program development, safety management, and implementation, with a preference for corporate or industrial settings.Global experience with at least 5 years of leading related teams in a global structure.Prior experience and knowledge in manufacturing industry strongly preferred.Profound knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.Possess strong and sound continuous improvement disciplines and convictions; Proven success in these areas is a must.Proven track record that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results.Strong people & organizational leadership skills.Excellent oral and written (including technical policy writing) communication skills towards staff, peers, suppliers, internal customers and leadership.Ability to prioritize manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.Very Strong problem-solving skills.University degree in business related field, engineering or equivalent.Graduate degree in business (i.e. MBA, MS) is preferred.Strong IT Skills w proficiency in safety management software and tools.
