The HR Director is responsible for developing and executing robust HR strategies across the Landing Systems business unit within Advanced Structures. The HR Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team directly supporting the Vice President and General Manager of Landing Systems responsible for 4,400 employees across 16 sites globally and functionally reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, Advanced Structures.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the ideal candidate will bring strong commercial and strategic acumen to the role. They will play a crucial role in synthesizing and operationalizing the HR strategy across Landing Systems, which will drive business performance and revenue growth. Effective influence within a large, matrixed global organization is essential for success in this position.
This position will be worked onsite at one of our Landing Systems locations: Troy, OH; Fort Worth, TX; Pueblo, CO; Oakville, ON (Canada), or Rzeszow, Poland. Applicants must have the flexibility to adapt a portion of their workday to coincide with the U.S. Eastern time zone. Relocation assistance is available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the people strategy for Landing Systems in alignment with overall business objectives.Proactively diagnose organizational issues, develop effective solutions, and implement action plans to enhance performance and productivity.Act as a credible and trusted partner, providing valuable business insights to HR and vice versa, contributing to substantive discussions and decision-making.Inspire and lead the HR team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices through impactful coaching and development.Drive and shape the desired organizational culture across all Landing Systems sites, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a positive work environment.Support the implementation of comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives to cultivate an inclusive and diverse workforce.Guide and mentor leaders in talent identification, growth, and development, and develop robust strategies for talent retention.Continuously evolve the HR model, driving transformation efforts and leveraging emerging practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.Foster collaboration and synergy across portfolios and functions within the Advanced Structures strategic business unit to implement effective people strategies.Travel up to 30%, domestic and international.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience is RequiredU.S. candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications:
This position is located in Troy, OH; Fort Worth, TX; Pueblo, CO; Oakville, ON (Canada), or Rzeszow, Poland. Candidate must be local to the preferred location or willing to relocate to work onsite.Prior global leadership in a matrixed organization.Ability to set direction, make effective decisions, and influence and motivate others to achieve business objectives; ability to successfully manage in a matrix organization.Ability to understand key business principles, strategies, and priorities and link these to HR strategies, deliverables and processes to support BU/SS objectives.Ability to think conceptually, understand interrelationships and root causes, reconcile enterprise needs with those of the BU/SS and employees, and develop and align strategies with implementation plans.Ability to anticipate, resolve and follow through on business problems and "get the job done" utilizing all the resources at their disposal.Ability to establish goals, organize resources and develop and manage plans which support business objectives.Ability to coach, consult and influence leaders regarding the importance of good "people" practices and the links to business success, Ability to conduct effective presentations, facilitate meetings and build teams; ability to be approachable and empathetic to employee needs.Ability to understand the total HR framework from strategy through implementation; Possesses reasonably broad HR domain knowledge in areas such as Leadership Development, Change Management, Employee Effectiveness, M&A, Compensation, Talent Management and RecruitingAbility to understand and relate with a technical and global workforce and leadership teams and the unique issues associated with attracting & retaining technical talent, including compensation, career development and talent management. Ideal experience would include HR support of technically oriented portfolio as an HR generalist, business partner and/or experience.

The salary range for this role is 165,000 USD - 331,000 USD ; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
