The Hospital Strategy Director leads efforts around creation and initiation of the overall sales and marketing strategy for assigned hospital customers. This position will aid Hanger Clinic in the development of partnerships and contractual agreements with individual hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN's), and hospital systems. This position will collaborate closely with the Hanger field clinic organization including operational leadership, regional sales leadership, local sales, managed markets, as well as distribution and purchasing, to ensure the execution of a comprehensive Hospital solutions strategy for Hanger. TERRITORY: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennslyvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware. **Estimated travel between 50-75%. Your Impact Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Grow Hanger revenue through expanded or new hospital relationships that increase in referrals and increase in revenue from devices delivered to patients. Provide leadership and coaching on all things hospital related to Hanger and Hanger Clinic Leadership. Work with Regional Vice Presidents to establish goals, strategic sales plans and targets. Provide direction on integrating and coordinating products and services with Hanger and partner field teams to drive growth at local and regional level while ensuring market place differentiation, improved outcomes and patient satisfaction to the customer. Develop relationships and negotiate contracts with hospital systems and IDN's at the corporate level. Work with the Hanger Clinic sales and marketing team and other Hanger affiliates to execute specific sales and marketing plans targeted at the hospital segment. Collaborate with marketing organization for the development and execution of a value proposition for hospitals. Managing and owning relationship between Hanger and external partners whom we collaborate with to support hospital agreements. Maintaining a solid understanding of current market dynamics and healthcare trends within the industry and leading hospital systems. Establishing executive relationships with all stakeholders. Creating and executing strategic hospital business plans. Develop the approach and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Hanger's hospital relationships. Perform other related project, system and analytical duties as required. Develop hospital partnerships that contractually allow Hanger to take care of the patients that require orthotic and prosthetic services Minimum Qualifications Experience and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent At least 7 years of experience in progressive Healthcare Sales and Marketing roles, including at least 3 years working at the Senior Management level Leadership experience in a National Accounts or Corporate Accounts role Demonstrate growth in revenue as a result of Hospital relationships and contracts Preferred Masters in Healthcare Administration or MBA Experience with negotiating and managing Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships, agreements and contractual obligations Additional Success Factors Job Characteristics Knowledge and Skill: Demonstrated ability to work directly with decision-makers of hospitals and IDN's An ability to travel up to 75%, dependent upon target priorities Success in introducing new concepts to the market Knowledge and success of the hospital purchasing/clinical environment mandatory A track record of meeting or exceeding targets and objectives Ability to think creatively & bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges Demonstrated ability to understand complex product offerings and customer issues Job Complexity: Communicates and facilitates implementation of strategic plans, balancing regional interests and capabilities with enterprise objectives in order to obtain results.
