Job Title: Director/Sr.Director, Global Market Development Lead - Rhinology & Gastroenterology

The Global Market Development Lead will report directly to the Global Brand Lead for Rhinology & Gastroenterology and will serve as the Global Marketing point of contact for strategy and implementation of market shaping initiatives to improve appropriate utilization of biologics. This position will regularly interface with international thought leaders, international patient advocacy associations, Sanofi-Genzyme leadership, the Sanofi Genzyme Global Dupilumab Development & Launch Unit, Regeneron alliance partners, Field Medical Leadership, Regulatory, Public Affairs, Medical Affairs, Product Communications and lead medical education agency efforts.
Role Responsibilities:
Drive cross-functional alignment to create and manage comprehensive thought leader engagement strategy including mapping of international experts, centers of excellence, referral networks, emerging leaders, and digital influencers
Lead the development & execution of commercial symposia and thought leader engagement during international congresses
Develop the Peer-to-Peer education strategy and program along with potential outcomes measurement
Partner effectively with the HCP Marketing and Customer Engagement colleagues to support local pull-through of HCP Education and training activities, as appropriate
Lead advisory board planning and management of physician working groups
Coordinate efforts with Medical (Medical Leadership, RML Team, Publications,
Outcomes etc.) for appropriate alignment
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the disease state(s), the competitive landscape and the overall market
Develop Market Development launch readiness plan for future new indications with ownership of specific pre-launch deliverables and KPIs
Manage agencies and vendors as needed to develop and execute industry leading marketing and educational programs
Experience Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
8-10+ product/brand management, and/or strategic marketing, commercial / business development with product launch experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
A comprehensive understanding of the dynamics driving the global health care environment.
Experience developing key HCP external experts in the US or at a global level
Understanding of market research, creative development and experience with regulatory review/approval process.
Experience interacting widely and effectively within the company and with copromote partner (i.e., on an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis).
Experience quickly understanding and communicating clinical data / publications to support business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (e.g. Master of Science, MBA, MD, PhD, PharmD)
Experience working in Immunology therapeutic areas such as Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Allergy, or Respiratory
Experience in international marketing (non-U.S.) within a complex, global commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization
Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate customer needs (internal and/or external)
Experience managing an advertising agency and related budgets
Experience working in an alliance
