American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS), the leading provider of payments for small, mid and large corporations globally. The Marketing Strategy and Content team provides strategic thought leadership, engaging content, and enterprise connectivity to fuel impactful, efficient, and cohesive B2B marketing. The B2B content marketing team, a subset of this team, drives impact for our customers and American Express by providing differentiated educational and inspiring content that empower businesses.
The Director, Global B2B Content Marketing, will be responsible for bringing to life the evolution of Business Class, our global B2B content platform, through the creation of compelling and engaging content for the GCS small, mid-size and large market segments. The Director leads the development and execution of a connected content strategy, across multiple channels, engaging prospects and customers and driving consideration for and connection with American Express.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead team of high-performing direct reports in the development and execution of innovative content strategies and tactics that achieve business goals
Creates compelling and engaging content across formats and distribution channels to meet the needs of diverse audiences across segments
Builds strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to inform content creation and support organizational priorities,
Oversees all aspects of the creative development and production process delivering in a timely manner, high quality content that drive results.
Manages agency partners and vendors ensuring efficient use and allocation of budget resources.
Leverages customer, market insights, and key performance indicators to inform ongoing plan enhancements
Manages the Amex Business social media channels and oversees development and execution of social media strategy
Stays on top of content marketing and social media trends
Leads presentations and conducts conversations with stakeholders at all levels to share plans, gain input, and report progress against goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
7 years of relevant work experience
Strong content strategy and tactical plan development and execution experience
Demonstrated experience successfully managing creative/content production processes
Experience and knowledge of leveraging content to drive brand and product consideration
An editorial eye for content quality across copy and visuals
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions and with colleagues at all levels
Exceptional skill in driving results against aggressive timelines, managing multiple priorities and executing flawlessly
Experienced people leader with the ability to lead change
Deep understanding of a range of marketing channels
Passion for understanding customer behavior, evaluating the external marketplace, and designing what great marketing looks like
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience developing and managing talent of various levels including hiring, development planning, coaching, and performance assessments
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
