Eaton's Industrial Sector is currently seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. Relocation assistance is offered.
Position Criteria:
Reporting jointly to the Senior Vice President of Finance for Industrial Sector and Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the corporation, the primary function of this role is to lead and drive sector level financial reporting and analytics, provide financial support for key sector projects, and be accountable for the quarterly and annual planning and forecasting processes. This team partners with the corporate FP&A team and FP&A teams in the operating segments to provide insights into key performance measures and business improvement initiatives to the sector leadership team. This role is also responsible for partnering with the finance transformation organization to drive functional excellence within FP&A.
This individual will lead, manage, and develop two FP&A managers directly and have strong influence on the FP&A function throughout industrial sector. The individual in this role will support the finance transformation FP&A pilar and help lead the execution of the key initiatives being driven by the Finance Technology and Transformation office.
In this function you will:
• Responsible for working closely with the Corporate and Electrical Sector FP&A teams to create enterprise-wide reporting process improvements and implement them within the industrial sector. Strong effort to streamline and increase transparency of financial results.
• Develop and coordinate sector internal profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts, operating reviews, board, and earnings prep for the sector.
• Key advisor to SVP finance and COO of industrial sector on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions and decisions that help hold business segments accountable to commitments.
• Strong attention to detail and business acumen to help break down the complex into a manageable story to the senior leadership team for actuals and forecast commentary.
• Lead from a thoughtful financial perspective and provide effective questioning as the leader of FP&A for industrial sector.
• A business partner who creates strong relationships with cross functional teams including investor relations, corporate economics, SCM finance and finance transformation to develop a broad understanding of the sector initiatives and what is happening operationally behind the numbers reported.
• Actively collaborate with the segment finance FP&A leads to understand, interpret, and provide insightful feedback for opportunities or risk mitigation actions.
• Manage, analyze, evaluate, and interpret segment financial forecasts and operating results. Provide recommendations based on variance analysis and business operational performance. Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency, and transparency.
• Perform special analyses to support strategic business decision making. This can include financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives, capital investments, changing business models, acquisition activity, make vs. buy analysis, pricing models, etc.
• Lead ad hoc projects as required at the sector or business level.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/or Finance
• Minimum ten (10) years of accounting and/or finance experience within a large, global corporation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

The expected annual salary range for this role is $168750.0 - $247500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
