"Job DescriptionAbout the Role The Director of External Engagement (Key Medical and External Experts) - Postpartum Depression will be a critical role and visible leader within the US Marketing Team, overseeing KME/key professional stakeholder strategies and engagement plans to activate, educate, and build advocacy to improve postpartum depression patient care. This position is responsible for establishing strategic direction through analysis of customer/market insights to drive key strategic choices for the franchise. What You'll Do You will focus on development of influence mapping and engagement plans, design of disease education initiatives, including peer to peer strategy across channels, speaker bureau build and management and key customer experience solutions that crosscut professional audiences. You will lead expert engagement strategy and planning within disease education, congress, professional society and other KME relevant settings.Partner with leadership to prioritize marketing strategies to drive success through addressing educational needs related to disease, treatment and patient care challenges in complex market landscape. Oversee commercially led advisory boards, speaker bureau and other related tactics. Who You AreYou will have a deep understanding of HCP, KME and/or Key Account customer audiences, but also the ability to collaborate with larger professional entities (e.g., societies, health systems and/or third party B2B partners) and lead projects that focus on supporting quality improvement. You will hit the ground running through cross-functional development of strategic plans and identifying expert external partners to execute key education and solutions in support of a novel therapy for postpartum depression.QualificationsBachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred10+ years of commercial experience, within those, 5+ years of marketing or marketing adjacent experience in the pharma or biotech industryCustomer-facing or Medical Affairs experience a plusAbility to analyze data and insight to drive key choices and define a crisp 3-year customer strategy.Must exhibit leadership skills, ability to perform in fast paced environments and ability to influence without authority.Strong project and vendor management track record, including resource allocation and fiscal management. Acts as lead of key vendors, including assessments and RFP decisions.A proven ability to prioritize and manage complex and innovative projects and establish vision and direction within a fast moving, challenging and energetic commercial environment.Strong scientific/medical aptitude, ability to communicate complex scientific/medical concepts in a clear and concise manner.Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy to be considered.Travel up to 30%Preferred Skills:Neurology, psychiatry, or women's health experienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.The base compensation range for this role is $177,000 - $265,500. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen's LTI grants and other incentive programs.
