  Our Office of Equality - dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion - is looking for an inspirational Director,Japan Equality Strategy, to join a growing, dynamic, and global team, within Salesforce Employee Success (ES/HR), to support the long-term diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, based in Japan. In this role, you will lead the Japan strategy design and development used to create innovative programs, processes, and approaches with Equality at the center. This leader will apply their deep expertise as Salesforce scales to 3500 employees. This role is critical to fuel and align the great growth at Salesforce in Japan with our core values.

  You'll help shape the future of our Office of Equality's strategy and results in Japan, moving the needle on Equality to become the most inclusive company. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience organizing the workflows of an overarching program, creating and delivering equality enablement contents, be adept at gaining cross-functional buy-in and alignment, and able to build strong, trusting relationships in service of the Office of Equality's strategy and goals.

  Responsibilities:

  Lead the development and operations of the Japan Equality strategy.Cross-functional partnership with the Japan ES and Business Leadership teams, to drive Global Equality Strategy across the region and capacity of creating and showing the value of Equality actionsPartner across a geographically dispersed team.Continue to improve the depth and impact of Equality initiatives to accelerate business growthPartner with the business to pursue and accelerate the creation of a strong community of Salesforce customers, prospects and partners around sharing and acting together for Equality, create regular touch points, communication contents and opportunities of sharing and acting together, influencing and reporting on progress and opportunitiesManage a team of 2-5 people, engaging them, ensuring their wellbeing and conditions for performance, helping them to grow and thrive

  Requirements:

  12+ years of Inclusion and Diversity experience, ideally it also includes Operational or Strategy experience; with 12+ years of team leadership.Deep experience working within Japan culture and markets.Fluent in English and JapaneseProven experience of developing business strategies in partnership with key stakeholders and business partners.Validated experience of driving diversity, equity and inclusion programs through process, technology, and people.A keen awareness in data and a point of view around how data should be used and interpreted; the ability to synthesize key points from a data set and make informed decisions.Proven track record to earn trust and credibility quickly.History of effectively building long-term relationships, high collaboration, and working well across teamsExperience with Employee Resource Groups or Business Resource GroupsConsistent record of inclusive leadership and managing a senior team of professionals
