About the Role

About the role: The role purpose is to define and manage the development of architectural standards, and the direction and design of architecture for a business or technical domain and elaborate and communicate the architecture of the given domain and/or the development of architectural solutions for projects and programs.
Your responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Oversee architectural activities for a specific business or technology domain, or architectural practice area, or manage the development of solution architectures for
projects or programs within a business area.
• Define standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain. Also define and develop the logical design and information management strategies necessary to store, move and manage data in a new target state.
• Review Demands for new technology introductions, spend for Project/Program related to TechOps & Quality IT and set overall enterprise standards and govern Solution Architecture ensuring the right IT investments driven from business priorities.
• Govern Enterprise standards for Solution Architecture Baseline, Target Architecture and Roadmap, capabilities, security, data, technologies, etc. and architecture-relevant
relations are applied for ToQIT in enterprise repository.
• Define and communicate Enterprise patterns, standards, and adoption guidelines for TechOps & Quality IT based on Enterprise standards and contribute
• Ensure adherence to Enterprise standards, Architecture Governance for IT, supporting the Architecture
Governance team / Community of Practice
• Ensure & Govern adherence to ISC, and other compliance policies and procedures in defining architecture standards, patterns, and solutions also ensure strict adherence to the Novartis Enterprise Standards, platform strategies, data /
technology /Integration principles.

Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology field.
• 15+ years and above experience in the areas of IT, with 10 years of experience Architecture experience.
• Should as well be able to provide enterprise guidelines for application, platform capacity and recommendations, set standards on emerging infrastructure tech in pharma & industry.
• Deep, hands-on technical and operational expertise with IT technologies and Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ARCHIMATE).
• Excellent knowledge of business processes, experience in regulated system environment and ability to "speak the business language" when talking about IT subjects and successful global project management experience with distributed teams.
