Description and Requirements
As a Director, you will be responsible for introducing processes, tools and methodologies that will enable the software engineers productivity, from coding and deployments, test data management, application performance and reliability. You will lead a team of hands-on engineers in multiple disciplines that will be responsible for the creation of the fundamental principles for each capability that will be leveraged across the US Technology engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development and implementation of multi-discipline Engineering Enablement team
Research new technology, techniques and practices and document the creation of standards for the identified disciplines.
Accountable for the identification, development, catalog, and maintenance of reusable technology assets.
Enable collaboration and feedback between software engineering teams and discipline enablement teams through the establishment of a Community of Enablement.
Empower the team to provide thought leadership to support strategic directions engineering teams.
Establish support, governance, training, and recommendations to ensure the success of the COE.
Track, measure, and report on the performance of team’s efforts and value created within the engineering teams.
People/Resource Management (hiring, development, engaging talent, utilization)
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Ten plus years in full-stack software engineering
Three plus, years in one or more of the following disciplines with hands-on experience: SRE, Test Data Management, Performance testing and/or DevOps
Five plus years in leaning/managing a team of technologists
Passion for technology, deliberately bringing technology into your own life and the work that you do
Experience with activities in driving change within an engineering environment
Experience in identifying and communicating value in process changes
Experience in manage effective teams through development opportunities, recognition and feedback for both onshore and offshore teams.
Cross functional leadership: organize, motivate and lead those outside of the team
Preferred:
· Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Five plus years in two or more of the following disciplines: SRE, Test Data Management, Performance testing and/or DevOps
This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
