  Job Description

  The Opportunity: 

  As the Director of E-commerce for American Girl, you will be responsible for driving revenue, profit, and operational performance for AmericanGirl.com, the virtual store and the play sites. We are looking for a skilled leader who has experience in site merchandising, user experience and product management to lead the e-commerce team.

  What Your Impact Will Be: 

  Drive digital merchandising strategyYou will own the development of long and short-term strategies for creating a premium, high converting shopping experience that represents the American Girl brand.You will lead the merchandising strategy and execution on site to improve conversion by using data and customer insights to optimize the experience across visual site merchandising, navigation, search, browse etcOwn digital product roadmapYou will define the roadmap for continuous improvement of the e-commerce experience for our customers.You will translate business and customer needs into a product roadmap and backlog, and constantly optimize customer and business value.Monitor and report on site healthYou will monitor site health and provide strategic insights to internal stakeholder to influence the direction of the site.You define, develop, and monitor metrics, measuring the performance of the site. You will make strategic decisions based on data.Partner cross-functionallyYou will develop strong working relationships across the organization and be a leader in partnering with relevant marketing, technology, supply chain, and cross functional partners to drive resultsDevelop a best-in-class teamYou are a strong developer of talent. You apply a continuous growth mindset to your role and comfortable working in agile methodology. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: 

  Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.10 years’ work experience (6 with MBA), marketing and ecommerce experiencePrior experience within a customer driven retail e-commerce organization is requiredExcellent communication skills and strong experience in partnering with multiple business stakeholdersUnderstand how to balance design with function and performance when creating customer experiencesProven ability to identify, analyse, and solve complex customer problems, using data and insights to make decisionsExperience with analysing, benchmarking and iteratively increasing conversion ratesExcellent requirements / competitive analysis skills, pricing and financial planningExceptional interpersonal skillsRelevant agile and product management qualifications/certifications desirable The annual base salary range for this position is between $144,000 and $205,000

  **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
