JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Digital Channel and Funnel Intelligence leads our digital channel strategies and reporting initiatives. This role is pivotal in optimizing our digital channels and reporting efforts to maximize performance and drive business success. The role will be oversee a team, ensuring our digital marketing efforts align with business objectives, and providing actionable insights through full-funnel reporting. The Director plays the key role in instrumenting data collection, measurement, analytics, and KPI frameworks for Marriott’s Digital channel. The Director will evaluate new requests from discipline stakeholder groups and then serve as a key person in the delivery of high-quality, credible analyses. This position is part of the broader Strategy, Business Insights, and Data Operations team, which is charged with developing and utilizing state-of-the-art analytic approaches to generate business intelligence about digital customer behavior.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
Eight or more years of experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a quantitative discipline (statistics, engineering, operations research, mathematics, etc.).
Demonstrated analytical ability with strong knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques, and ability to synthesize and analyze large volumes of complex information from multiple sources.
Demonstrated ability to mine large data sets and synthesize insights and consolidate into stellar visualizations.
Demonstrated success with data exploration skills, and mining billions of records.
Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Hive, Spark, Tableau, R Shiny, D3, Git, Jira.
Proficiency in a wide array of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, backed by a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
An in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape.

Channel and Full Funnel Reporting
Spearhead the development and implementation of a robust full-funnel reporting framework that monitors performance across all stages of the customer journey, uncovering actionable insights.
Develop, execute, and refine comprehensive digital channel reporting that spans various platforms, tracking performance to digital marketing goals and ensuring the customer journey is optimized.
Oversee the meticulous collection of data from diverse digital channels and platforms. Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract valuable insights, emerging trends, and growth opportunities.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital performance and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Continuously analyze data to identify areas for improvement in digital channel strategies, targeting, and customer engagement, taking action to optimize results.
Present data-driven insights, trends, and actionable recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders. Leverage advanced data visualization tools to make complex information clear and compelling.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of digital marketing reporting professionals. Set clear objectives and nurture a culture of data-driven excellence.
Ensure all analysis are high quality and credible for stakeholder consumption.
Deliver insight and provide guidance on strategy based on historical performance.
Design and coordinate the maintenance of scorecards that measure both program and campaign-level effectiveness.
Synthesize insights and consolidate into a concise and persuasive story in partnership with the Data Science Partner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster collaboration with other departments, including marketing, sales, revenue management and product development. Ensure that our digital channel strategies are fully aligned with the overall business strategy.
Collaborate with our IT teams to incorporate advanced tools and technologies that amplify our data collection, reporting, and analysis capabilities.
Establish strong working relationships with business discipline stakeholders as well as peers with the SBID organization.
Perform complex analytics projects across a broad set of stakeholders, clearly aligning business and data needs, managing expectations, and delivering results in a timely manner.
Demonstrate flexibility for the continuously changing needs and priorities of the business.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

Promotes adherence to policies consistently, follows disciplinary procedures and documents items according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and supports the Peer Review Process.
Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Champions change ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented and communicates follow-up actions to team as necessary.
Identifies talents of direct reports and their teams and assists with their growth and development plans.
California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $222,943.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $133,766.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
