Minimum qualifications:
15 years of experience in a Technical Sales Engineering role in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing technical/engineering role.
10 years of experience in public sector pre-sales.
Experience managing teams as a manager of managers.
Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science.
10 years of experience selling complex IT solutions to Public Sector entities.
Experience working with web/internet related technologies and architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud productivity suites. Knowledge of solution architecture within web and mobile environments.
Ability to lead with enthusiasm and flexibility in a constantly evolving team environment.
Ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
A market reputation and actionable list of network contacts.

In this role, you will lead an organization of Customer Engineers who engage with customers across US Federal Civilian, Department of Defense (DoD), and National Security to understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google's Cloud technologies, design technical architectures, address and overcome technical issues that arise throughout the sales process, and manage implementation and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Customer Engineers and Customer Engineering Managers with pre-sales remit over Federal Civilian, DoD, and National Security sales.
Recruit talent and coach the team with a focus on providing actionable, forthright feedback. Play a key role in building the next generation of leadership for Google Public Sector.
Meet with customers/prospects and participate directly in the key agreements and accounts within the Federal sector.
Lead the Customer Engineering team with operational aptitude to deliver technical sales activities.
Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight Google Cloud Platform value proposition using various communication techniques.
