  Position Summary:

  This position is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Royal Caribbean Group. A key component of the role will be to analyze financial data, provide strategic insights, and collaborate with various departments to support decision-making. Strong leadership, financial modeling skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information are crucial to this role. In addition, the role includes assessing business performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities and presenting financial recommendations to executive leadership.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Financial Forecasting, Planning, Reporting & Financial AnalyticsSupports executive management and business objectives through superior financial management and controllership.Through collaboration with Brand and Shared Finance organizations, oversees the development of annual operating plan, and subsequent monthly financial forecasts.Oversees monthly tracking of actual financial results to projections, including in depth understanding and analysis of variances and drivers.Collaborates with Brand and Shared Finance organization to mitigate financial risk and identify opportunities to improve financial results.Oversees consolidation of key financial statements including in depth analysis of trends.Provides monthly and ad hoc reporting to Executive Leadership, including actuals reporting, forecast reporting, operating plan reporting.Oversees financial reporting and presentations that support earnings calls, board meetings, executive committee meeting and other ad hoc executive meetings.Recommends and oversees compliance of annual key performance indicators (KPI), including tracking of performance and reporting to Executive Leadership.Oversees Annual Operating Plan process, including financial projections, board book write up and presentation.Provides and/or oversees benchmarking and analyses to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost control.Oversee analysis of complex data and identify actionable insights as well as performance improvement opportunities displaying creativity, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.Overseas ad hoc business improvement projects across brands, departments and functions.Manage and organize work for team responsible with day-to-day administration of financial planning application including running processes, actuals reconciliation, and training users.

  Financial Responsibilities:

  Supports the VP of Corporate and Capital Planning and executive leadership as the key financial liaison for forecasting & planning, consolidation of key financial statements, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and financial analyses. Provides detailed financial analysis to senior management for all entities under Royal Caribbean Group while delivering analytics on current and historical financial performance to support forecasts and long-range projections. Leads team of analysts in delivering financial forecasts and plans, including providing key financial support for Earnings Calls, Board Meetings and other Executive Meetings. Manages team responsible for financial planning application which ensures timely, accurate reporting of financial results while managing forecasting process. Identifies and recruits key talent with strong financial and analytical capabilities.

  Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from a 4-year universityMaster's degree in finance, MBA and/or CFA preferred8+ years progressive experience in financial management at a large corporation5+ years leading, coaching, mentoring direct reportsExpert level skills in financial analyticsResourceful self-starter with excellent written & verbal executive level communication skillsEffective collaborator and relationship builder with sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiencesCapable of making independent decisionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills including technical and business writing.Ability to work in complex matrix environments.Experience with Hyperion Essbase/Smartview, Oracle Enterprise Planning Management, JD Edwards World, Oracle Database.Advanced in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.Solid understanding of accounting rulesAptitude for translating complex, technical subjects into clear, business-oriented communicationsAccepts accountability and manages execution of individual and team results at corporate and divisional levelDemonstrates a wide degree of creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge and experience in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures, including project & resource management
