  As Director, Commercial Excellence you design and execute the operating model to enable commercial performance of Local Partner Services worldwide. Partner Services is one of Booking.com's largest departments, a commercial organisation with 200+ offices worldwide and responsibility for B2B relationships with our 2m+ accommodation partners.The main responsibility is to build a strong Commercial Excellence organisation to drive the success of our supply by setting the strategy for local partner services in alignment with segments (Core, Home and future GEM services). You will identify commercial and operational opportunities and align local initiatives to optimize efficiency and results. You work closely together with leaders from segments, digital and connectivity channels, product teams and global teams such as Financial Planning & Analysis. You will also work closely with Regional Directors.

  Tasks & Responsibilities: Responsible for leading the strategic planning process in collaboration with APAC leaders including the yearly planning, budget cycle and quarterly reviews. Lead regular business reviews to provide visibility and alignment for APAC leaders. Build a strong Commercial Excellence organization to drive the success of Booking supply by setting the strategy for local partner services in alignment with segments (Core, Home and future GEM services) Create vision and strategy for the regional Commercial Operations team Senior Advisor to APAC MD to create and execute APAC strategy/direction & APAC operation topics by providing powerful data insights. Collect feedback/insights from RDs to ensure on-the-ground market expertise and knowledge is incorporated into the APAC strategy creation process. Share data and trends internally and externally to ensure the strategy set is competitive and leading. Lead target setting process by establishing and running a robust methodology and progress cadence. Ensure the process is aligned with the APAC leadership team as well as HQ stakeholders. Use data insights, market knowledge to challenge targets till the final target number set is optimal and agreed by all key stakeholders (RD,MD, AMS). Responsible for documenting key decisions along this process to support the RDs to craft the narrative and story behind targets. Drive operating model change projects across the local offices and contact center channel (e.g. projects related to roles, organization, tooling, productivity, reporting). Strengthen change management capabilities to minimize friction for our teams and partners. Responsible for ensuring smooth information flow to local offices on updates such as product development and roll out, and other information that impacts business performance and execution of strategy. Lead two way communication with central stakeholders - responsible for gathering and cascading knowledge on central priorities and focus areas to ensure APAC strategy and requests are advocated to HQ, and aligned where possible to central priorities to maximize investment potential. Key areas are performance and product communication. Hold HQ accountable for delivering the agreed commitment and timelines. Partner with key cross-functional Booking.com teams (Product, Marketing, Supply, Payments, Pricing, Genius, TBU etc) to ensure Growth Markets specific strategies have been developed and optimized with clear and accountable annual & quarterly objectives, KPIs, milestones and commitments. Serve as a liaison between Regional Leadership & PS Global functions e.g Booking Home, Core/chains, Partner Marketing, Connectivity, FP&A, Products, Legal, Fraud, CS, HR etc Collaborate closely with APAC RDs to provide consultative advice on agreed strategy implementation and prioritization in order to optimise business performance. Provide specific advice on product strategy, execution strategy and performance insights. Responsible for monitoring performance & business health metrics, highlight opportunity areas to key stakeholders (RDs, MDs) on where business performance can be optimised. Lead & develop commercial excellence team to create a high performing team Responsible for leading cross team and department collaboration where synergies exist to leverage. Role model booking values and foster a team culture of inclusion, diversity, wellness Ideal Experience & Skills: 10+ years commercial excellence experience within complex, large international commercial operations Demonstrated solid leadership, organizational and analytical skills required and ability to lead change that clearly contributes to business success Proven track record of success in managing simultaneous multiple, diverse and complex initiatives Understanding and awareness of the Booking.com organization and culture Strong skills at managing internal resources (people, information and technologies) and allocate resources appropriately. Expert ability to meet deadlines, manage costs, impact and influence business outcomes, handle multiple priorities Effective stakeholder management and influencer, building relationships at both the team and executive levels Exposure to online travel, technology, or e-commerce industries a plus Background of success in growing markets, preferably through proven designs and experience of launched solutions that have been implemented in the real world and driven tangible business impact.
