JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Business Continuity Operations position is responsible for establishing and leading the supporting function to Charter's Business Continuity program, as well as assisting in the design & implementation of the organization-wide Business Continuity framework. This role requires experience in business continuity, operational risk, or operational resilience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceEstablish a team of experts and subsequently lead the support function to the Business Continuity program, that includes the following capabilities:Compliance and risk reporting: Monitor, measure and report on organization-wide compliance with Business Continuity Policy and Standards, as well as overall operational risk to Charter Business UnitsData analytics: Enable data-driven risk identification and decision makingToolkit enhancement: Enhance and maintain current business continuity management system, normalize use of existing notification platforms and identify new capabilities to be onboardedTraining and awareness: Develop and deliver targeted role-based training and general employee awarenessQuality assurance and process enhancement: Drive consistency and quality across business continuity and incident response plans & playbooks. Identify, implement and ensure sustainability of process improvementsPerform quality assurance on organizational recovery and incident response plans & playbooks, and identify areas of improvementProject management: Support successful project delivery across the Business Continuity programWork closely with the VP, Business Continuity Officer to assist in the design and implementation of the organization-wide Business Continuity framework, inclusive of:Business continuity policy and standardsBusiness Continuity program team structure and staffingIn-business resource support framework, along with roles and responsibilitiesAssist in increasing the comprehensiveness and interrelationships of existing business continuity efforts within the organization, focusing on - weather & natural disasters, terrorism & insider threats, cybersecurity and supply chain risk managementCollaborate with Charter Business Units and risk related functions, such as Internal Audit, Information
Security and others as a Business Continuity subject matter expertPerform other duties as required

Required Education
Bachelor's degree, ideally in related field: business continuity, risk management, operational resilience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience in business continuity, operational risk, operational resilience or related role - 10+
Experience leading or managing business continuity, operational risk, operational resilience or related teams - 3+
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of The Fusion Framework System highly desirable
Preferred Education
Certified professional designations (e.g. MBCI, CBCP, etc.) highly desirable
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Understanding of the governance structures and business segments of a telecommunications organization
