The Director, Audio Visual Technical Production will provide leadership, direction, and management for all Shepard Audio Visual (SAV) production management staff.
Essential Job Duties
Collaborate with all SAV leadership to develop, improve, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Establish and execute event program strategies, timelines, and financial goals for PM staff
In-depth knowledge of industry labor/union rules and safety standards
Champion effective communication between PM staff and all other departments within SAV and SES
Ability to navigate a growing and diverse corporate matrix
Ownership and management of production related KPIs
Ownership and management of all production related resources/files
Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, accurately report on key accounts, and deliver prompt and sound decisions
Maintain a positive culture for associates and clients
Represent and speak on behalf of the organization’s technology and production capabilities to internal and external interests
Treat all internal and external customers with courtesy and respect, as outlined in our Blue Diamond Customer Service program
All other duties as assigned
Requirements

Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company
Minimum 10 years’ experience supervising teams in a live event environment
High level of expertise in all areas of Live Event Production (audio, lighting, projection/LED Displays, rigging, scenic, staging, staffing, video, etc.)
Proven track record of successfully managing teams in a complex, fast-paced, and diverse environment; preferably in the live event industry
Strategic thinker with a passion for detail and solving complex problems
Proficient in Windows/PC/Mac and has experience using Microsoft Office
Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience for both internal and external clients
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience may be exchanged for formal education
Preferred experience working with and instructing Vectorworks and IntelliEvent
