Director, Aseptic Manufacturing
We are excited to invite you to apply to be our new Director of Aseptic Manufacturing. In this position, you will provide leadership and direction to the Aseptic Manufacturing Network, including strategy, performance governance, and industry best practices.
In the role, you will direct the Network Aseptic Manufacturing Global team and its activities across five manufacturing Sites and various Aseptic Manufacturing Technologies. You will take accountability for defining and implementing strategies to deliver top-tier Aseptic performance across the network and be responsible for Aseptic Manufacturing's performance governance, metrics, and Perfect Index reporting. The role develops and shares industry best practices with the global network of Aseptic Manufacturing sites. It is also accountable for defining the Network Aseptic Manufacturing Technology Strategy and driving a Multi-Year Capital Plan to deliver it. Key activities of the position:
Functional lead for initiatives and strategy development related to aseptic manufacturing in IME.
Provide technical and regulatory guidance to the AbbVie Aseptic Manufacturing network.
Drive and foster a robust aseptic quality culture with transparency and innovation.
Direct the Network Aseptic Manufacturing Global team and its activities.
Set technology strategy in alignment with operations objectives. Ensures that a multi-year capital plan is in place to deliver it.
Support leadership with financial analysis and business evaluations to provide the best solutions across the Aseptic Manufacturing IME (Internal Manufacturing and Engineering) sites.
Develop and implement strategies to advance top-tier aseptic manufacturing performance across IME sites.
Provide global governance for the Aseptic Manufacturing Best Practice program in pursuit of best-in-class Aseptic Manufacturing practices. Drive collaboration across IME, Quality and S&T and integrates with Industry experts.
Advance the Aseptic Manufacturing expertise across the network. Proactively mentor, advise, and share industry best practices with team members, peers and senior management.
Establishe and maintain analytical tools and reporting methods for Network Aseptic Manufacturing performance.
Support sites in audit readiness, investigations, and strategy development.
Provide on-site assessments of aseptic technology and practices.
Key Stakeholders:
Sr. Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, Functional Vice Presidents, site general managers
Education and Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in microbiology, chemical engineering or equivalent
Minimum 10+ years of Aseptic Manufacturing experience. Must have depth and breadth of knowledge within all aspects of Aseptic Manufacturing
Business acumen and functional leadership experience are required to drive high performance across a diverse manufacturing network
Must have demonstrated organizational and planning skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive management
Ability to advise and influence stakeholders within IME on Aseptic Manufacturing
Possess strong technical knowledge
