This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of any of our locations listed in the Great Lakes region.
Job Summary:
Trane is looking for a Digital Services Sustainability Engineer to join our team in Great Lakes. The Sustainability Engineer functions as a core member of the Trane Digital Services Team, playing a key role in identification, qualification and quantification of Energy Conservation Measures, Utility optimization opportunities and Facility Operating savings measures employed as part of a project or service solution. This position is responsible for assisting in data acquisition and performing analysis to support Trane’s engineering and sales efforts. The Sustainability Engineer will collect, analyze benchmark and develop summary reports as necessary to illustrate the pertinent details of building and/or system performance.
Responsibilities:
Fulfill Digital Services contract obligations effectively, efficiently and within safety standards.
Responsible for gathering all pertinent data, data logs and charts to develop customer facing documentation
Responsible for leading quarterly or semiannual Technical Strategy Review meetings for each Digital Service Agreement customer.
Conduct weekly Digital Services status meetings.
Diagnose energy opportunities within customer’s facilities and provide small energy projects that solve customer issues/opportunities.
Responsible to aid in the acquisition of pull through work and assist in meeting or exceeding the BAS owner direct company goals
Analyze building data using analytics in Command Center
Tune Automated Tests
Conduct equipment mapping in Command Center.
Partners closely with Account Managers.
Assist as needed with development of solutions working with all Services and Contracting Sales team members.
Perform remote site analysis via web access as needed.
Fulfill duties of Digital Services Sustainability Engineer.
Travel required 2 to 3 days a week within region.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental or Technology discipline. Entry level, degreed candidates are encouraged to apply.
Strong familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, Building Automation (BAS) systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls required.
Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information, and responding to questions from fellow engineers.
Experience collecting data, analyzing and presenting data in a clear and accurate manor.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and office equipment required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
DUI in the previous 5 years
Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years

Base Pay Range: $79,950 - $106,550 / year. Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
